  1. Exactly, & the best people to know about the injury & Durants recovery would be the people (Riders Dr's) who say he should be able to be activated by game 17. ^ You're using phraseology that supports your position. Hasn't it been said that it is possible that he could be activated, etc? and wouldn't that be the more correct wording?
  2. I think all he is saying is before the game, would you consider our chances better with a healthy Moore in the lineup or not?
  3. That question has zero relevance on the Durant injury. It's a simple matter of how serious the injury was/is to Durant and how smoothly his recovery period will be in relation to it.
  4. It's quite remarkable how the secondary has been shaped this year with player additions like Leggett, Randle and Johnson. We knew what Washington was capable of but the nice surprise is the play of Bucknor…he definitely is no thrown-in Canadian slouch. As to Desia Dunn, obviously there is more to his play than we can appreciate, as he has been a stable on defence for two years, forcing Sears to vie for a secondary position. Ratio issues has forced another NI in the LB core but again, Big League has stepped up and handled that quite nicely. If the NI situation was solved on O, would Sears displace an NI on D?
  5. If O'Shea fed you pablum and called it a steak, you'd not only believe him, but you'd argue with everyone else that is was the best steak you ever ate. What's unbelievable is the length you will go to try to contradict what has been stated by more than one about that radio/helmet issue. Drew Willy stated the same post game. (only on the radio breakdown - not about you contradicting) But hey if you want to be fed steak, and call it pablum…that's up to you.
  6. Bashing Walters for not taking a Non-import off the Montreal PR when Edmonton did that very thing? Seems uncool. Does the fact that Adebayo was born in Edmonton have anything to do with it?
  7. Personally I call this all these migs posts the Du-rant.
  8. As has already been mentioned before my post, and repeating what O'Shea stated on the Coach's show, it was a radio issue that was garbled…hence Marve running on the field, followed by the radio signal getting through, then the play was called, formation was broken…and as Maxwell Smart would say…. Missed it by that much…..
  9. And then, the Eskimos would be in a vulnerable position, should Reilly go down. (not that would ever happen). And they're in the same division. Why would edmonton do this trade? Unless they get Christmas early.
  10. Desjardins should be sitting calmly in his office with the realization that he can now right his earlier mistake, and dump Burris. Burris was never going to provide a championship and his big-name signing's lustre has been eradicated. He can now get something for Burris. Make them pay Marcel, make them pay.
  11. Call it what you will. It's still our Pro league. The only thing that separates us from the 'real Pro leagues' is money. Or the lack of money, to be more precise. And that isn't going to change.
  12. You're right. The OP is misdirected. Willy's progress is really hard to 'chart', what with all the changes this 1st year QB has had to put up with. Not to mention many factors that are beyond his control. Drew Willy doesn't need us to hold him accountable..he does that himself..after every single game.
  13. In the courtroom of plaintiffs vs the defence, the judgment is firmly for the the defence. Can't see how many of you are faulting, what has been, stellar performances by our defence, week in and week out. Calling out run defence? Really? Did you not see those games? Nor remember what happened? They have been giving us many opportunities to win games, right from the start of the year. And that's really all you can ask from that part of your team. Do you want to know what's really hurt us, in those 7 losses, more than anything? Special teams, turnovers and penalties. I can only think of a couple of games where poor tackling and positioning has cost us a chance to win.
  14. The entire CFL has "no TD scoring" issues this week. BC - 1TD Calgary 0 TD Mont - 1TD - defence Ottawa - 1TD Edmonton 2TD Saskatchewan 0, I said 0 points Hamiton 1 TD
  15. Could only watch the game today and observed…. A time count violation…at that point in the game….is inexcusable. Before that mistake, that was a very impressive quick offence drive in the last 2 minutes. Our defensive play was indeed impressive. Was that Kuale's best game? Our O-Line is all over the place…from staunch at times to horrible at other times…hovering at below acceptable. Kelly was the best receiver on both teams today. They, at least, found a route for Bryant…crossing across the middle. Horrible play calls, again, for the two point convert. …and on the last play of the game. Bad snap number ??? What's that? 3 games lost due to snaps? I think we need more urgency at the start of games. PENALTIES are rivalling ST team play as a problem, a big problem. Seriously, are we the only team that gets called for O-Line holding? I do believe that was the shittiest contacting the kicker penalty called that I've ever seen (or didn't see)
  16. "after this place seemingly became riderfans pt2." And here I thought it was a virus.
  17. Why? Is there a charity broom ball game being played before the football game?
  18. Ottawa? What the hell was that…again? Crompton giving them all kind of chances to win, but they don't want it. The stats? In Ottawa's favour, but they don't want it. Henry Burris? A million chances to win another game, but he doesn't want it. Ottawa coulda, woulda, shoulda have won three games in a row, but they didn't want it? Montreal sneaks out of town with a win. Saskatchewan? Whole bunch of nothing to talk about…like 24 - nothing. 5 games left for the Riders…Edmonton - 2 Calgary - 2 and a visit to Montreal. Nothing to talk about there either. 9-9 Now, does the talk about acquiring Burris heat up again in Regina?
  19. Over on the Rider fan site: Will the Riders beat Edmonton tomorrow? 71 Yes 64 No 3 Still trying to figure out the question
  20. The chain guy official who did the Bomber game in BC, opined that Bruce Johnson was an impressive DB and that he was not impressed with the demeanour of….Romby Bryant (surprise, surprise). He described his effort as…half-hearted. To this end, I wish we would use 3 NI receivers thereby allowing Sears and Johnson in the lineup at the same time. How could getting JF-G on the field over an inconsistent Bryant not be better for this offence, seeing as Brynat's speed asset isn't working?
  21. If this was curling, we just outDrew Hamilton for the hammer in this game...
