  1. This a funny post. And you right…it deserves a G.
  2. And I have no problem with that. Over 200 yards in limited time, under any circumstances, is pretty decent. This would be a pretty stiff test for Brohm, and I hope to see him in there and see how he does.
  3. That's our own version of…the practice roster.
  4. Even if there's an opening in Hamilton, I'm not sure Grigsby will get to it.
  5. When that question was asked, there was a voice, in the background, that said "I did". That's just before O'Shea said "I don't have your number". You might have noticed O'Shea looking off to the side as he heard the response. That, I believe, was Cameron.
  6. I understand there may be an opening for a co-ordinator who is out of this world…..…where do I apply?
  7. We've already been doing that.
  8. Score one for Walters on this latest Grigsby matter.
  9. It's actually quite typical of Grigsby…he got 'bumped' and now he's down and out.
  10. First of all, you bring back all the Non-Imports. You replace only the bottom tier players as long as the players you bring in are at least as valuable…preferably better. As for the imports…all the QBs. And that is why we should take a long look at them in the next 3 games. The whole O-Line has to be re-evaluated, rinsed, fed and re-hogged. We simply have to be better in that regard. It's been way too long. At least 2 or 3 must be replaced, preferably more. Bye bye Bryant, Kuale, Cotton, Woods. On the exit mat….Peach, Vega, Unumba, Grigsby. If we can value in a trade…Washington.
  11. Change the way we "punish" repeat penalty-takers. Change shaming into benching. We have our share of AWBs (athletes without brains) on our team, and we're not good enough to withstand their ineptness in that regard.
  12. This is the best opportunity we're ever going to get to see what we have behind Drew Willy. By all means sit Willy next game…at least. Lets start giving Marve some reps at practice to see him by the last game. In the meantime, it's your show Mr Brohm.
  13. The O-Line, for me, has been about as bad a shock as you can possibly have up to this point in the season. To have so many wooden studs who are incapable to, at least run block, is a mystery. Can we not be decent in one aspect of blocking that doesn't entail using 8 men on the line? The recruiting in this area has to be multi times better than what we've seen, or we'll continually see the same results. The number of sacks? Drew Willy has to accept some of the blame here, but I agree with 17…he's shell shocked out there. Even Brohm handled the rush and got rid of the ball…got rid of the ball. There's a concept. Bob Wylie? I expected better results, not miracles, but better results.
  14. The Etch experiment for me is over. It is an interesting concept that requires on field adjustments and game planning to match the opponent. In yesterday's game, being one step behind didn't only apply to the pass defenders. The chess board moves in yesterdays game made it look like they had the Queen, matching up against our rooks and it was over in less than 30 moves.
  15. Seriously? Pre-game warm-ups?
  16. People complain about O'Shea's post game interviews…i wouldn't want to be within arm's length of Austin when a delicate question has to be asked. By the way, has anybody seen Sinkfield since yesterday? Interesting to hear Austin say what O'Shea has been saying, that not all penalties are penalties, and that the coaches have to do a better job of coaching the players. All coach's say the same things, seems to be the party line. Including reference to having to watch the game film to understand what happened and than never hearing back regarding their conclusions. If you watch Chamblin's interviews it's amazing how similar his answers are to O'Shea's. It's not what he said, it's how and when he said it. You, yourself said he was ready to spit venom, and yet you're saying, in his state of mind, he just fell back on standard lines? I think Austin feels the same as O'Shea in that he feels the Refs have to be better at what they're calling and when to call/or not call certain penalties.

  18. People don't have to do that…there are plenty of other people who do that already.
  19. Never in doubt. -40 penalties. 19-153 yards Hamilton…..21-178 Toronto -Two very hot QBs 23-32- 302 yds. Hamilton…34-46- 431 yds. Toronto (attendance - 17811 - including Bluto) - 4 sacks by Hamilton 2 Toronto This is the same damn team we let off the hook two weeks ago that has led to all this crying and pouting on this board. We had them beat…'til we beat ourselves.
  20. Kelly has flaws. We all know that, but we certainly have to give him credit where credit is due. He has made a number of tough catches, over and under, a number of defenders over the course of the year. If he could/would do that consistently, we wouldn't have to worry about who to take out of the lineup. To deny him his dues is just bias, IMO, and unwarranted.
  21. That's funny, I've seen a number of times where Kelly goes up and contests for the ball over a few defenders, and...he comes down with the catch.
  22. Battle for 1st coming up in the 2nd of 3 meetings between these two clubs. Hamilton won the 1st game 13-12, but that game Toronto did not have Chad Owens. *No team has EVER won its Division and been below .500. *Hamilton beat BC last week without scoring a TD This year there has been 5 games won by a team that hadn't scored a TD Between 2010-13, in 216 games, that didn't happen once. * Chad Owens: Leads the CFL in BOTH receiving yards (109.0) and receptions per game at 8.7. * Last three games: The Toronto offence has been at its best over the last three games averaging 35.3 points, 389 net yards, 23 first downs, 121 rushing yards and a 32:34 Time of Possession. * Ricky Ray eight straight games: Ray has thrown a TD pass in each of the last eight games, two short of his career-long streak of 10 straight games played (in 2013-14 but that was interrupted 3 times due to injury). Only twice in his career has Ray thrown a TD pass in 9 straight games played for his team without missing a game (2003 and 2007). * Under 60 rushing three games in a row: Hamilton has held its last three opponents to under 60 yards rushing – that is the first time Hamilton has done that in a decade * The Ticats have the leading run defence in the CFL. They will be up against Toronto's duo of Slaton and Curtis Steele. But the interesting part of Toronto's run strategy is that they don't try to establish the run until R Ray has been 'established'. That is according to Scott Milanovich. * Going for five in a row: The Ticats are on their longest win streak since 1998 – that year was the last time they won as many as five games in a row with a six-game winning run in July and August. *CFL.ca news And..** Drew Edwards - The Scratching Post: **Collaros has been the CFL's most prolific quarterback since returning from injury in time for Labour Day, averaging more than 300 yards passing, while leading his team to a 5-1 record. ** Hamilton remains dead last in Red Zone efficiency. ** Scott Milanovich ignores conventional coaches' non-speak and says his team considers Friday's Tiger-Cat visit a playoff game, and right guard Wayne Smith comes perilously close to calling it a "must win." ** Hamilton's defence has restricted opponents to 232 yards or less each of the past six games. ** Toronto will be without Jalil Carter. ** Kicker Swayze Waters leads the CFL with 33 field goals and his average kick is from 34.4 yards, the longest in the league ** What the Argonauts like to do on defence: Hang on for dear life. The Argos have given up 357 points this season, the second highest mark in the CFL, and have a league-low 24 take-aways. They do have some success getting to the quarterback, as their 36 sacks ties them for fourth with Hamilton and Montreal (defensive end Tristan Okpalaugo leads the team with nine). ** Toronto starts Canadians: Offensive linemen Tyler Holmes, Jeff Keeping, Wayne Smith and Chris Van Zeyl, receiver Spencer Watt, linebacker Shea Emry, safety Jermaine Gabriel. ** With wind a non-factor, both Medlock and Waters can easily attempt 60-yard field goals. Argos head coach Scott Milanovich, in fact, felt Waters could be called upon to boot a 65-yard field goal. ** On Friday, the Double Blue will once again feature an all-American defensive line. And the most important part of the game….Olympic Gold medalist curlers Team Jacobs, including Brad Jacobs, Ryan Fry, E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden will take part in the coin toss. So, who's your pick? My heart says Toronto, and my head agrees.
  23. And here I was completely over my swearing fit over that one particular game changer..thanks. No, but really, as disappointed as I am in Grigsby as a RB, he does (usually) catch the ball well, and, he only has 1 fumble all year.
