  1. I don't know of anyone who likes them... They seem to be despised. What are you talking about? Didn't you see them televise that one guy wearing them in the stands? Don't know what you are talking about. I bought a new jersey (pre-order) and was high fiving a lot of people wearing the same jersey. PS I wasn't drunk and the other people were not in the mirrors in the washrooms.
  2. Looking at the schedule, there are only 13 East vs East games left, meaning that the East Conference may only produce 13 more wins this year. If the East cannot beat the west in interdivision games, that would result in an average of 3 more wins for each of the East teams.
  3. Ottawa changed their helmet because they didn't like the color of the helmet. The Bombers used to mix and match pants with the old whites, golds, and blues in the past. And, We'd still be wearing the jersey, which should sell more. No one is going to buy a signature helmet as they aren't for sale.
  4. Why wouldn't he be trying to bring in Greg Carr, Doug Pierce and/or Priche Rodriguez from the Arena league, or contacting Joe Mack to track down some young receiver talent from the States? TJ Harris, Kurt Adams, and Jade Etienne are still available too.
  5. Meesam did not play. Durant left before the start of the 2nd half with a hurt throwing hand.
  6. Wear the new uniforms with the current gold helmets and gold pants. Everyone will be happy.
  7. I actually had a great time wearing my new jersey. I had a chat with Jason Vega while picking it up at the Bomber store, Kelly Butler came over and chatted in the beer gardens, and tons of people came up and chatted in my section and in the west upper deck side. While tons of fans were dressing in their "Cheer Team" gold uniforms, I was cheering on the Blue Bombers wearing the signature 4th jersey. It's currently our only jersey that's unbeaten. After watching the highlights of the game on CFL.ca, I thought the jerseys looked okay on film. The players enjoyed them and played hard. People have to lighten up from time to time.
  8. The best news for the CFL is to have all 9 franchises healthy. I hope all the teams get better facilities, more fans, and more revenue. You can't have all the best players playing for the teams with the most cash. Same goes for hockey, baseball, and NFL. The NBA is quite different as a team can buy performance by getting three great players to fill the majority of the starting 5.
  9. Well people, I'll be wearing my new 17 Moore jersey to the game. Upper deck, west side. Fell free to say "hi" and buy me a beer.
  10. Well, the RedBlacks will be red and black...
  11. I heard he's going to hang out at Subway and sign his name to all the napkins.
  12. Already pre-ordered mine. Supposed to be customized and ready for the 22nd game. Now I just have to figure out if I'll wear it or leave it on the hanger.
  13. The jersey above was a fake. I'm certain these were the jerseys unveiled by the Argos last night.
  14. Garcia could end up playing yet. He's only 44.
  15. Brink is still the same old Brink. Maybe Lapo's coaching wasn't the problem. Now Rod Black is stating that the Argos are going to get another win for the East division. #FACEPALM. The east was going to get another victory no matter what.
  16. If the other teams play some more 10 - 7 games, our defence is going to look terrible. One must also consider: - 6 new starting QB's with their teams (Burris, Smith, Collaros, Willy, Mitchell, Glenn) - 4 new Head Coaches with their teams (Higgins, O'Shea, Campbell, Jones) - Penalty Parties - 24 new starters in the league - Weather (Windy and Rainy in Edmonton and Saskatchewan)
  17. I always thought Suber was great on special teams (11, 8, 3, 6 special teams tackles the last 4 seasons). He has just played less on ST in the recent years.
  18. Honestly, I think the "students" from the old section S have grown up. The "adults" that liked sitting in that section to hang out with the students will just have to accept it. Life happens.
  19. I said it before. Winnipeggers are fairweather fans. Put the game on a Friday or Saturday, and the rural fans will attend.
  20. I'm just waiting for a defensive team to challenge a play for offensive pass interference (push off). If it was a long ball on 2nd down, this type of ballsy challenge could really change the momentum of a game. My guess is that O'Shea will be the first coach to figure this out.
  21. In the last minute of the Montreal game, the Blue Bombers scored a touchdown and missed the 2 pt convert. On the subsequent kick off, Lumbala takes a knee and then gets up and returns for 16 yards. I know kneeling by the QB is the end of the play, and kneeling in the endzone would immediately give up a safety or rouge. To me, kneeling on the kickoff in play should result in a dead ball (as per Rule 1 Section 4 of the rule book): "• When a ball carrier is on the ground and, in the judgment of the official, is not attempting to advance the ball, the official shall immediately declare the ball dead." Now, the reason I bring this up is our actions on the 2nd to last play of the game. With 6 seconds left, Troy Smith throws a pass to Brandon Whitaker for 7 yards to the Wpg54. Shouldn't the Bombers have let Whitaker lie on the ground for an additional second or two to run out the clock, rather than tackle the defenseless player immediately? IMO, if Lumbala kneeling does not trigger a whistle on the kick off, the same rules should apply to Whitaker and the whistle shouldn't blow until he's touched.
