  1. I wonder if it's the same rule as the NFL: https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/packers-take-advantage-of-ridiculous-nfl-rule-to-magically-make-kickoff-go-out-of-bounds If the returner touches the ball while out of bounds the kickoff is considered out of bounds. Ridiculous rule.
  2. Brown is second stringer, I'd say. But yes, salivating all the same.
  3. How about an HH shout-out to Kramdi. From my upper deck vantage point it looked like he was playing SAM for a half (I'm assuming Rutledge got hurt) and he did not look out of place. So classless. Did they just want to get the backup another rep?
  4. I was wondering too. Pissed at Demski for not moving to open space on the scramble drill? Pissed at himself for the overthrow? Pissed at the refs for missing something?
  5. What an awesome video! Anyone recognize who BA is hugging in the clip at the end of the Grey Cup? Coach or trainer? Put him on a go route and just wait for the magic to happen!
  6. In case of injury, it'll be time for the GOAT to have a career breakout game on offense.
  7. I'm guessing to ease him in. Probably why we're rolling with 7 OL as well (although I'm not sure who they'd put on the roster in another position anyways even if they took Dobson off. Maybe Burtenshaw?).
  8. Not to nitpick at all, but just curious who are the three safeties ahead of Nick Hallett. BA, obviously, Thompson (who I think Nick Hallett is now outplaying). Maybe brother Noah? Fully agree with the sentiment of this post. It's incredible what we're doing with depth! All hail the Canadian Mafia.
  9. I thought he looked good in run support but agree he's a liability in providing over the top pass coverage.
  10. I love Streveler and hope he keeps developing, but wasn't LaPo his OC in 2018 too?
  11. Yeah his route running doesn't seem crisp. Bring him on as a decoy or for sweeps but don't waste a slotback position on him.
  12. Agreed. I can understand keeping McRae on as an injury replacement / rotation player but Harrison strikes me as a waste unless we give him rest. On paper we're thin at DE compared to previous games, although maybe Walker or Sayles can get reps at DE?
  13. Fully agree. We've been using two DI spots on offensive players who haven't touched the ball, or may not have even stepped the field (Harrison). I know we need to use those roster spots in case a receiver goes down but it would be great if we could give them some reps. In case of receiver injury is the only think I can think of.
  14. Chris Matthews in his first go around? Or was he somewhere else first?
  15. Down 5 starters, getting basically zero production from two DI spots in McRae and Harrison and we still win by a TD on the road. What a team! Stars 1. Zach, obviously. 2. Demski, obviously. I love the versatility of where they line him up and as Sanchez said he's a problem for D's to contend with. 3. Schoen. So talented and smart and seems so humble and coachable. I love his dialogue with Collaros after his corner route TD. 4. Brady O. I like Augustine as a change of pace back, but Brady O has another level. HH. Hallett. Great knockdown and some solid hits. I'm higher on him than I am on Thompson.
  16. I'm all for Agudosi at boundary and bringing Bailey back to the slot where he belongs (next year). Yeah you're right. I was figuring on the first pick where his route was soft rather than coming back to the ball. Second one was on the tip.
  17. I think Agudosi was the target on both picks. Game 2 did not live up to Game 1, to say the least. Hopefully bounces back in Game 3. Although I just remembered he got injured and read his tweet. Poor guy, it doesn't sound good.
  18. Good insight. It's a small 5-game sample but when I have a chance I'd be curious to see how Adams targets / completions per game compare to Bailey's over 5 games. I also wonder if the hash mark changes may affect a Boundary WR's production. If I understand correctly it would mean it's a farther throw to the boundary than in years past.
  19. I'd really like to see the Bombers do something to get Bailey going. I recall seeing a post from the Toronto game day thread that DT noted that 90% of his production came from the waggle (h/t Bigblue204) and he doesn't seem to be doing much at the boundary WR spot. Minimal targets and minimal receptions. Any chance we move Woli out that way and bring Bailey back to the slot where he belongs? I can't imagine moving Ellingson or Schoen out that way given their production but I wonder if Bailey can occupy that third slot, at least until Demski is back?
  20. If I recall correctly, at one point Hamilton had more wins at IGF than the Bombers did (please jump in if you know the correct stat / opposing team).
  21. I wish we ran at the end of the second quarter on the second down play. Burn some clock and maybe you convert on a 2nd and 3. Instead, incomplete pass, and a touchdown with 14 seconds left. Granted that several plays had to happen in between, but why give them extra time to make that TD happen. Run the damn ball.
  22. Why did we kickoff both halfs? Unless it was a gale force wind, that just seems like questionable coaching to me. Not that it made the difference, but very strange to me
  23. Plus Jesse Briggs' return. Depth indeed!
  24. That's the only play all game where I wanted more from the coaching staff -- a timeout as soon as they motioned out of kick formation. But otherwise a perfect game.
  25. Thanks @Zontar. You have a helluva team with a bright future and outstanding coach and QB. I'm confident that the spoils will go to you guys soon
