  1. Taller than the tallest building in Saskatchewan
  2. The play he got his head jumped on was un-Zach like as well
  3. Depth chart is out. Parker and Burtenshaw in. Gauthier and Darby out. Looks like Kramdi is still listed as the starting SAM and McRae as the punt returner. But Parker over Darby is a start. With Burtenshaw in though it's another sad week of two fullbacks instead of bringing in a DL over Jackson.
  4. All the deserved love to Lucky Whitehead aside, Bailey coming in for him was another key cog in making us a tougher team in 2019 (along with the obvious Zach factor and BA taking over at safety). Also wild that we had Chris Matthews starting earlier that year until he was replaced by one Kenny Lawler.
  5. I went to the 2019 Cup not expecting a win (I had more hope going into the 2011 Cup, the other time I went to the game), but feeling like I needed to be there just in case we beat what turned out to be paper Tigercats. Suffice to say I'm very glad I went. Hope for the best, expect the worst, and sometimes you get to see the first Grey Cup win since you were 8 years old.
  6. This is interesting. I'd love to learn more... Was Augustine the contain man and Calgary's blockers were walling him off allowing the returner to break contain and get to the boundary or open field?
  7. Houston may also be due for a raise but I think he's more replaceable if need be with ADS and others able to take on a corner spot. The other players that come to mind are Dobson and Eli, depending on contract status.
  8. Apologies if I missed it above, but it looks like the Royal Rourke got waived by the Jaguars. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article/report-jaguars-waive-canadian-qb-nathan-rourke/ I'm guessing a PR spot is soon to follow. I wonder if he got a signing bonus on his three year deal Edit: Just saw it's covered in CFL Discussion
  9. The second pick six was a great play by the safety but the other two picks seemed more questionable to me. Throwing across his body for the first pick six and underthrowing into what ended up being double coverage on the Lawler pick, not really letting him high point it. It seemed to me that he was having difficulty climbing the pocket in the first half, even on situations where we had it locked down (Brady had a phenomenal multiple second block on one of Zach's rollouts). But then in the second half, I was so impressed by how Zach settled into the pocket for several throws in addition to his classic rollout to the right.
  10. Yeah I wish we had a QB4 on the practice roster just in case, but I guess there are only so many reps to go around at practice
  11. Yeah I'm curious if Darby is even getting reps at this point. Are we bringing him in on second and long? Is he playing specials? I'd much rather have Parker in his place Also bemused / confused that they keep listing Parker on the injury report when it's "Not Injury Related"
  12. I can 💯 agree with this part!
  13. Since you're curious about whether I'm an incel (and I don't think you really understand the anti-feminist implications of that term) or just "very odd" -- I'll out myself as being a member of the latter category. I'll happily identify as a "very odd" feminist husband and father who thinks that commenting on a woman's appearance is a form of objectification when it's irrelevant to the topic (the irrelevance at least we agree upon) and that being attracted to women is not required to be a "normal male" (did you know that "normal" men are not always hetero?). I'll show myself out, but in my closing words I'll invite you to reflect upon who may feel unwelcome by your comments here.
  14. A. How is commenting on a woman's appearance on topic for "Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news" B. Why do you think it's reasonable for Taylor Lavonne to have her appearance commented upon by a random stranger on a public forum that is clearly not intended to be about her appearance? C. Is finding a woman attractive required to have the thought process of a "normal male" in your view? If you think that's true, take a minute to think about what that says about you.
  15. I'm impressed they disclosed "neck" rather then simply "upper body"
  16. Upon further review, perhaps Dru Brown is overrated. He's not even the best Bomber in the last 20 years named D. Brown! 😝
  17. I'm with you. Houston's execution was poor but the call was boneheaded.
  18. Who do we recruit to be third string QB if Zach is out for a game or more? I don't think we have anyone on the PR? Maybe the other training camp quarterback comes back?
  19. You called it. I contemplated saying he was better than Streveler as a passer but didn't want to be premature. But today's performance demonstrates that his potential is already reality. His composure in the pocket and on scrambles is unreal
  20. May have to change my handle to True Dru
  21. It's incredible how well Buck and crew have developed Brown since his shaky first reps at the end of 2021. Since game 1 of 2022 when he came on for one set of downs and drove us into range he's looked like he's the real deal
  22. 1. Brown 2. Brun 3. Marrón Seriously... He completed a ball to every receiver and is now 6th in the league in TD passes Highlight of the night: Lawler's TD catch. HH: Bailey and Bennett Awe award: Command Center
  23. He's the best Bomber backup QB since... Zach Collaros was temporarily the backup in 2019
  24. We're back to being the Brown Bombers
