I have been bleeding blue and gold for 20 years. I can tell when a team has it or not. It starts with the head coach and his attituide. O'Shea exhibitied à stubborness/over confidence last year and it has carried into this season. I am not foolish enough to think this season is done after 2 games but I don't like the signs I am seeing be it at middle line backer, the d line or the special teams that all are in need of upgrading. I am most concerned that O'Shea Will rush Willy back into action rather than let Brohm and/or Marve develope beacuse of his stubborness. If you don't trust me because I don't have à thousand Posts under my belt that is your problem. So how is Oshea being stubborn about any of those 3? I agree, they have been less than stellar but it's not like the pieces are just sitting out there waiting for us to come along and be like..."OH, there's our star middle linebacker!! Where have you been?" We can't just upgrade. It's been two games, one against our DC's former team, the other against arguably the best return man and Offence (two time east division champs). While we certainly imploded, I'm not sure what Oshea could have done to stop the bleeding. Bring in Marve?? Maybe, but there was no sure bet at QB at that point, and if you pull Brohm in favor of Marve....what happens if Marve stinks it up?

Thank you. That was one of the worst called games from Marcel. All hamilton did last week was blitz....why didn't we game plan for it? No screens???? Wtf???? No draws? No passes to the flats...it was laughable. As good of game as he called last week....this week was as bad. He needs to get his **** together.

All my worst worries about Marcel came true tonight. No idea how to beat a blitz which cost us a starting qb...get rid of him now??? I wouldn't be against it.

I pray we are looking at bringing in some real life linebackers and that randle goes back to his corner. We start the minimum amount of Canadians next week and get the very best athletes out there....we were dominated all around this week. And I hope the players know #doitfortheW....was turned into #youredisgracingtheW this week.

It's a very apt comparison actually. No... Its not really. No one had tremendous hope for Cauchy.. We do for Hurl. We also didn't write off the kid after one game.. Against his former team.... And former coach... Smh. That's revisionist history. Lots of folks around here had huge expectations for Cauchy and didn't want to hear that he wasn't a good pick up. Yup, I hand a lot of hope for Cauchy. Thought he would grow into his position here and hold it down. But boy was I wrong, turns out its hard to play football when you don't like to tackle.

Yup if the guy could stay healthy on a consistent basis, I could see him being one of the top defensive players in the league.

Yeah it was during the big run. He got tackled hard and landed right on the shoulder. He lifted his arms and by the time he got to the bench you could tell he was in pain. I would guess separated shoulder.

I would think the better person wouldn't need to make any statement at all in an effort to prove that they are a better person,but whatever. But again, back to my original question in this segue: why does the trash talk get to people? It's only annoying if you let it be annoying, otherwise it's just empty noise. And all fan bases have segments who do it, so what makes the 'Rider priders intolerable where other fan bases are not. I don't need a recap of their behaviour, just trying to piece together why it seems so effective in pushing emotional buttons here. Why does the fact that rider fans bother, pretty well every other cfl fan, bother YOU so much. You keep saying to brush it off and let it be etc etc..but you're the one who keeps bringing it up. Listen, people don't like them. You don't need to understand why. Let it go man.

Ok can someone explain why that kickoff taken into the endzone wasn't a safety? Demski caught it on the one, stepped into the end zone, then went out the side...? Shouldn't that mean 2 points and bomber ball???

I thought our blitz timing was off. The lanes to the qb were there. We just weren't hitting them early enough, by the time our lb got to the qb the ball was gone. Hopeful it's just a timing/execution issue. Those are fixable. Man I love cotton.

2-0 so far. Though I didn't think Calgary was going to pull it off at the end. Much closer game then I expected actually, thought Calgary would pull ahead by a few scores. Hamiltons DL looked pretty solid. So we couldn't fit Sears on the roster last year, and ted laurent on D...... Fuller is a big target and a play maker. Wonder if he stays healthy this year?

While I don't really care that it's been built where it is...I was truly hoping they would have just replaced it where the old one was. Only because I live 5 minutes away and never had to pay for parking and could drink all I wanted and not worry about getting a ride.

Me too. Also interesting that it seems that Unamba wasn't even really a consideration to fill-in at safety. Why the hell do we keep this guy around and cut good players? I've asked myself that at the end of each of the last two training camps. Anybody with half a brain and a willingness to work hard can play well on special teams. Should always take the guy who can play D and train him to chase kicks over the guy who is scary to put on the field on D who can chase kicks. I really liked Unamba at sam last year when he filled in. Thought he could push for a starters spot this year. I guess maybe cause he's so versatile?
