All jokes aside? With exception of Trevor Harris, who did they bring in to replace the massively depleted depth and sub par starters? It wasn't like the team was only a few players away from being great. That team needed a complete overhaul.

That's how this site has been functioning for the last few years. Someone has an opinion, someone else disagrees and provides facts to back why they disagree, original person changes narrative because they were wrong and attacks. Rinse and repeat. It gets really silly when it's a really black and white thing such as place kicking because the numbers are easily something that can tell a story.

So you agree to my original point that he did better then Legs at kicking field goals and PAT's last season and that comparing play off performances between the two guys over the last 2 seasons that Castillo did better. Noeller nor I mentioned punting , and nothing says that we can't have Legs punting and Castillo place kicking.

Maybe have a poll in regards to shutting the political threads down. I would vote shutting it down. This site has became so toxic over the last few years that it's driven away casual people and making it very hard to even read the football threads. Back in the OurBombers and the beginning of these boards the biggest troll/controversy was Nasty Nate claiming that Lyle Bauer and Wade Miller had secret agendas and everything was so light hearted. In the last month or so I've read about how all people in Saskatchewan are racist/killer/evil, how anyone who defends Jeff Browaty is a racist , how someone is an idiot because they didn't know the Bombers released a receiver last year, attacking someone because they feel that the draft class this year is subpar, and many more examples of if someone has a differing opinion that they must be attacked and harassed. I have been warned a bazillion times in the last several years , the only reason I stir the pot or play devils advocate is to give the quiet people a voice to maybe keep these toxic individuals in check and maybe drive it into their skulls that they are not always right 100% of the time. Most of these toxic users I don't remember being around on the Ourbombers forums and I think they are on here purely for an echo chamber to validate whatever beliefs they have. I see a parallel with reddit/winnipeg where it used to be a decent community but these same types of folks took over and drove away many of the normal people and now it's one giant cesspool of hate. It is disappointing to see this site moving in that direction.

I've met Browaty several times and he's extremely well spoken, takes time to answer questions and gives logical and honest answers. His face might be a bit weird and scrunchy but if you are judging on a physical appearence and saying he is a weasel then that's low. I spoke with Sam Katz before now that guy was greasy and double talked a lot, Browaty is 100% straight shooter and completely fair. I will point out once again the current mayor of the city ran with Browaty at his side and he won the election! Browaty was against opening portage and main and the people voted and agreed with him. He's won numerous elections in a riding with people varying from average to very above average incomes (educated). And the best people can do is say he's a weasel and that you wouldn't drink a beer with him, that's absolutely hilarious. You vote based on who you would hang out with and that's exactly why someone should or should not be elected? I am thankful as my points above show that most people in Winnipeg are sane and agree with me and that you guys are so wrong and just bitter or mad because of how things are. Don't hate me because I am correct , it's not my opinion it is fact that he is well liked and that the people support him. Just because a few liberal people on here don't agree with him, doesn't mean really anything and it doesn't represent the majority of people. Also back to the "drinking a beer" thing, so would you drink a beer with Russ Wyatt? A guy with horrendous character but a solid politician that came back and took over from a coward (Nason) because people don't vote based on physical looks or drinking beer, they vote because the guy gets results. A reminder that the latest mayor was supported by Browaty and campaigned with him and that the population supported closing portage and main. Totally disagree, he's one of the few councillors who isn't afraid to speak up and say what the people are thinking. One of the few non corrupt in the city that actually represents the working people of the city. If a clown's idea is to remove the homeless camps from bus shelters, clean up downtown by making it a safe place for people to visit, holding the mayor accountable for blowing money on pointless initiatives, making the city a better place for the working, being unafraid to speak ones mind and not become a Yes Man (like Shawn Nason was). Then I guess he's a terrible clown. Their is a reason why he wins every election.

It's an upscale place, those prices are actually cheap. I remember going to places in Toronto 20 years ago where the lowest price item on a menu was $30.

I've personally visited Saskatchewan 3 times in the last year for work and have worked alongside some great people from the province who are far from being insane or crazy. They were friendly and hospital and very hardworking and nice. I see nothing at all what you claim everyone is acting like. Please show me any sort of proof that the province of Saskatchewan is wild and crazy where people are going insane and doing unimaginable things? Once again just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean your opinion is correct. He has a high approval rating, the province is growing, and as much as I hate to say... Regina and Saskatoon are becoming far nicer places in comparison to what it used to be. The province is really set up for maintaining growth and the average income is shooting up while the rest of the costs are not, the only issue they have is lack of people moving in to fill vacancies. Comparing it to Winnipeg/Manitoba they are wiping the floor with us in every single way with exception on the football field. I can understand bashing Manitoba because the province is a mess and Winnipeg is a dying city that's in desperate need of money. This place is a shell of its former self it's actually sad to drive around and see how bad it is getting.

I know someone who is friendly with both Wab and Obby and has said in the past that both are good (normal) dudes. Not your typical slimeball politicians. I also work with some one who has been friends with Obby since his playing days and she says it's completely not in his character to make accusations and lie. I've met both guys once (briefly) and both seemed to me like average guys and far from your typical greasy bastards. I remember the first time I met Sam Katz, it felt like I needed a shower based on the grease coming off the guy. Definitely had an untrusting vibe to him. When I met Doug Lamont and actually had a chance to ask him a few questions, the guy gave the answers and the aura of someone who is completely clueless (similar to Judy Wasylycia-Leis). I also met Brian Bowman he seemed normal and less cringey as he comes off on tv, Cunningham seems nice but in over his head. Both guys were no where near as slimey as Katz not even remotely close. If only Unknown Poster was still around to tell his Katz story. I'm guessing games are being played and it's a matter of who is embellishing. Either way in the end the people of Manitoba are the only ones who lose because of all the b.s. It would be nice to have elections where candidates are all strong and the one who offers the best platform without trashing each other wins. I'm guessing that's a pipe dream.
