  1. Toronto will find a way to sign him
  2. Tip... frozen fries in a deep fryer is real good or an air fryer does a decent job of replicating it. Frozen fries on a cookie sheet in a regular oven = sad panda.
  3. Bistro fries... probably because I enjoy the dip with the sweet chili sauce? I didn't realize they were costco fries I thought they were home made? Desserts at Roxies are also top notch, our usual routine involves buying a few squares of whatever and taking them home. Then going to upper crust bakery (2 minutes away) getting cinammon buns and the apple cinammon bread and whatever else and taking that home. All really good stuff.
  4. And this is my point, these restaurants are far better options then going to McDonalds. At Roxy's I've never been able to eat the full meal in one sitting. I like getting the pulled pork + jalapeno sandwich with the bistro fries and that alone I can usually make it into 2 - 3 meals which makes the price even more attractive.
  5. Not to ruin everyones fun on here.... any chance the Riders throw money at Strev?
  6. So does this mean Dane Evans in Saskatchewan then?
  7. I never said they would disappear completely, I said that they will have trouble staying in business as the older crowd is what currently supports them and as the current youth grows older they won't be eating at a "Perkins" or "Sals" where they serve super mediocre food. To entertain you I'll show you where we go (we live in NK/T-Cona) Instead of Perkins/Sals we go to Jonseys in East St Paul or Roxy's in Selkirk Instead of McDonalds we go to Fatburger Instead of Taco Bell/Taco Time we go to BNC Taquiera and Burrito Splendido Instead of Tim Hortons we go to Grand Donuts Our kids enjoy going to Phuong Nam, Sushi (anywhere), older kid likes Magic Thailand, Shagun Sweets (East Indian) , Ramallah , Bubble Tea, etc... When I'm going for food without the kids with co workers or my wife then the options really open up and I can list 100 restaurants that are superior. At no point in my life when I've been out with other adults have I ever heard anyone say "Lets go to Sals for some cole slaw and hamburgers!". The options people have these days as compared to say when I was a kid in the late 80's is significantly larger and nowdays we have far more access to many varieties of different foods from different cultures. I don't understand the misconception that every non-chain restaurant is super expensive, in fact I find that many of the places we go are cheaper and also offer better quality. Long gone are the days where you can go to a crappy place like McDonalds and pay only half as much as anywhere else. To the person who brought up tide pods for whatever reason or the other grumpy old people , you guys remind me of this clip:
  8. What's with all the weird comments? Super bizarre?
  9. The Cowboys get stuffed with just under 3 minutes left on the clock, they waste 20+ seconds sending the Punt Team out to punt the ball. They burn all of their timeouts stopping the 49ers and get the ball back deep in their end with only a minute and change. Dak nearly gets sacked in the endzone for a safety, dinks and dunks and doesn't take a single shot down field. With 10 seconds left they run this play where Elliott snaps the ball to Dak with nobody blocking:
  10. Lol why are you so mad this is a very bizarre and odd rant you made? I was going to suggest maybe look into how in these days how people are far more health conscious and how fast food/generic chain restaurants are on the down swing. Kids these days have grown up with higher standards so therefore they gravitate towards places that offer fresh products. Even in the fast food industry Subway surpassed McD's many years ago and that's why McD's pivoted towards the coffee crowd.
  11. Most definitely, gone are the days where McD's and Burger King and greasy spoons ruled the day. Quality over quantity is far more important these days.
  12. I do have to chuckle at the the poor time management by Dallas and the fear of throwing a deep bomb on that last drive. That ending with the terrible final play was just sad.
  13. As opposed to the generation that created jello salads, cheeze whiz, hamburger helper, spam, and so many other great food items.
  14. I've been a few times to the Regent location because my Mom enjoys mediocre old people restaurants. I found it slightly better then Perkins and Smitty's which isn't saying much. I think as the population ages out that these breakfast/diner places (Sals/Smittys/Perkins/R&R) which serves frozen then re-heated, pre package, non homemade dishes will suffer as the younger generation are more accustomed to higher quality meals.
  15. Does anyone have a pizza oven? I was tempted on getting a smaller one but reviews even for the high end models are all over the place.
  16. I wouldn't say it's regression, the world has never had a period with no wars or conflicts. I'd say it's human nature and unfortunately it will always be present.
  17. Still waiting on that evidence, deflecting because I made a mistake in a saying seems like someone can't prove me wrong. Wouldn't it be so easy to show me evidence such as the CFL season being cancelled due to COVID or NHL Jets games where the crowd has no one sitting within 6 feet of each other and all wearing masks, restaurants being unable to have sit down customers? Boy my argument would look so foolish if you could prove it wrong with solid facts. Until you can then I will gladly accept that you admit that I am correct and that you were wrong. I will disagree and say that 97% of people on here do not think people who are religious are stupid. I'm not even religious at all and I most definitely respect people if they have faith.
  18. I'm glad you proved my point that he could find a few supporters who are also out of touch from reality and will once gladly look at your facts of where in Canada we have lockdowns, social distancing restrictions, restaurant closures, and evidence that everyone is still wearing masks. Until you can do so take the L and move on.
  19. With all the recipes online it makes cooking meals easier and I found that things come out far more consistent then when using an oven or frying pan.
  20. The nicest answer I can say is that more then likely in real life he suffers from an extreme amount of ignorance and lacks the social skills and maturity so he isn't able to use an open mind and think before he speaks. In his mind he thinks black and white and that his own opinions are always 100% correct. Because he's ignorant on religion and thinks that religious people are stupid and horrible people, he has no idea on why a Catholic (or Muslim) would not want to wear an article of clothing supporting LGBT people. He thinks by default that they are all horrible people who want LGBT to die or something along those lines. If Noeller had done any sort of research or get off the internet or maybe even speak to someone who is religious he would realize that many many religious people are accepting of the LGBT community. While they won't actively promote LGBT lifestyle, they do accept them and are not hateful or anything terrible towards them. Pope Francis in recent years has been a big supporter of LGBT. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis_and_LGBT_topics With the COVID stuff he more then likely reads and obssesses over all the extreme social media junk and thinks that it's still 2020 - 2021. I said many times that yes COVID is real , people are still getting it and dying. It doesn't mean that the world hasn't accepted it and adjusted and moved forward. Just today my kids went to school in class, we went grocery shopping, we went to over priced Boston Pizza, and watched the Jets on tv to a full crowd of people... and at no point in anywhere I went did I see social distancing, masks, or anything out of the normal. I don't see people living in fear or staying at home and hiding. For some reason he disagrees and maybe it's possible that he never leaves his house and is out of touch who knows? Either way when I provide an example like that instead of rebutting with any sort of evidence that I am incorrect... Noeller goes into his typical mode of covering his ears and shouting louder because he can't come up with an intelligent response. Either he does that or moves the goal posts because he can never admit that he is wrong (which is most of the times). Hey may find a few supporters on here but in the real world I can't imagine people not pushing back on his stubborn takes. It's unfortunate because Noeller is one of the people on here who will drive away new visitors because he acts exactly like the cro-magnon members on riderfans.com forums. In that if you go on that site and give an objectionable opinion they instantly drive you out with a barrage of caveman like insults because unless you pander 100% to them they'll drive you out because they can't take any criticism. /2cents
  21. In a league like the CFL where you basically are putting a team together every 1 - 3 seasons.... 30 years old isn't an issue at all.
  22. How about when the CFL season is cancelled, masks are mandatory, social distanced is required, restaurants are closed... at that point you can claim a victory. Until then time to move on. Smoking can lead to cancer, so maybe I should stay inside my house until all smoking is abolished?
  23. Telling this to yourself doesn't mean it is correct. Maybe next time you leave the house (assuming that you do) and take a look around and see just how little people are wearing masks and social distancing themselves from each other. This weekend tune in to an NFL game and see 60 000 people closely together with zero regards of getting COVID. I highly recommend detaching yourself from social media since it can drive people crazy to a point where they can't accept reality that they are wrong. You have absolutely no way of winning this argument since it's not even up for debate. People have moved on and living life as they were pre pandemic.
