Lol at the Nicholls comment... I'm pretty sure if he backed up any other team he would be one injury away from starting. Hurl - Toronto Bryant - Multiple teams made offers to him. Moore - I'm pretty sure he had a tonne of offers since he was coming off a great season and was not injury prone at the time. Even if he did choose us because we made the highest offer... isn't that usually how free agency works?

I've unfortunately got stuck many a times in snow with my "hot rod" and for the most part it's because the snow under the car is lifting it up giving it no traction on the ground. I used to have a very handy small shovel that I could scoop the snow out, but before that the snow brush did an adequate job. i also had traction bars which saved my ass and lots of other drivers many a times. Had the guy also use his floor mats though it probably would of done the job at the start.... I've also talked to my coworkers who work way up North that they keep extra winter windshield washing fluid and pouring that on tires when stuck also works really well.

My guess is who gives a flying fack on what they pay the guy.... I'd rather they over pay and have Dressler start then for us to waste 100 000 or whatever they paid Romby Bryant and whatever money they had going to roster fillers like Aaron Kelly. Unless they go nutso anything under 200 000 is a steal in my opinion.

Let us not forget Calgary actually has the ability to recruit import receivers and they already have a decent group of guys. Also factor in the North Dakota part... The guys Mike Kelly brought in for a cup of coffee were decent. The last few years it has been slim pickings... Sims Walker or whatever his name was good but gone asap.

I think Chris Tucker was a victim of the Micheal Jackson effect.... he used to be good buds with him and just went straight out weird. However he did do an HBO stand up last year and has turned down a tonne of movie offers in the past and if he really was hurting I'm sure he would just make a few easy movies for some money.

They definitely do have more wild winters.... they also have many more people living downtown and much more reasons for people to visit downtown. I know for myself... now that I'm ancient and have a family.... aside from a Jets game I really have no reason to hang around downtown. Aside from a few unique restaurants what am I going to do down there? Bring the fam and *shop* at Portage Place lol....

Not to completely derail the topic.... but you know what would help out immediately for downtown would be for them to ban pan handling , window washers and for them to really pro actively boot out the drunks. They did this when I lived out East and it was night and day difference in how comfortable it was walking downtown there compared to here. Make the place safe and people will come.... building new things like this definitely helps... they still however have to cleanse the filth in order to get people to want to hang in that area on any given day (rather then for special events only).

Yes some times people let talent go away... the problem is that this team was plucking the proven losers from other rosters. I didn't think signing Darvin Adams was a bad move and he may still have a role... but if this team wants to get serious on upgrading talent at receiver then signing a Dressler immediately will boost the talent.

I never understood the squash matches.... it made for some real boring tv. Only Sharpe and Horowitz ever actually were allowed to perform a few moves of offense... otherwise it was fat local guys who pretty much were beaten to a pulp with zero challenge.

Well it's not hard for your trajectory to go up when in season one you catch only 13 passes. Did you know that Darvin Adams had more receptions then Ryan Smith ? Did you also know that Dressler had more receptions then Ryan Smith playing on the exact same thing? Also did you know that Dressler has five 1000 yard seasons while Smith has had none... When you cherry pick stats it doesn't tell the full story now does it. Smith is a promising young player.... but does the Blue really need to sign big contracts on "promising guys"? This team needs stability in the worst way!
