What can you really discuss though about the club? You could pretty much cut and paste the exact same posts over the last 5 years and it would still apply to how the club played last week. The club has given no hope and really nothing to get fans excited about. We signed some awesome free agents.... this was exciting. After watching 2 dismal efforts in pre season from the starting crew and then a complete turd on the field after the first real game. What can we really talk about? It's been so many years in a row of watching the guys come out of the gate and set a record amount of 2 and outs and watching the other team gaining a comfy lead and then us only moving the ball after the opposition has taken the foot off the pedal. At least with the Jets even though they had a down year last season... they showed promise and young guys made it entertaining for us to watch games even during a losing streak.

The one score thing is so misleading. Same issues we had the last 2 seasons.... we pile on the yards and points way after the game is out of hand so the final output makes it look like it was competitive. That last game *could* of easily been a blow out of 20 + more points then what we had.

I only watched the first 2 quarters.... I saw us not being able to make 2nd and short and a combination of Willy hanging onto the ball to long and Mtl guys coming in untouched... The defense I'm not to worried about, they have talent and made plays when it counted. The offense .... not being able to get a few first downs until 25 minutes into the game is unacceptable.... soooo bad.

Wow people dumping on Wagoneer and suggesting Franklin is the saviour. l'm not sure what is worse... The play of the Bombers or the reaction of some fans....

From only watching the first half.... several times Willy hung on to the ball way to long. Also it looked like we had no answer for the blitz yet again....

No way they replace the D-Coordinator after game 1....

With the Jets track record... I wouldn't say it's being a homer. If they took guys who were highly regarded later in the draft... then I fully believe they did their homework and made wise choices.

This was the easy game for our early schedule.

I'm not angry but I'm definitely disappointed. I know one game doesn't mean the season is all over... but watching them being unable to make a first down on 2nd and short was just completely deflating. Last season for many games I simply didn't want to waste my free time watching a train wreck, I already regained that same feeling by quarter two. I'm really curious to see what happens *if* this kind of play continues. Will changes be made? Will the ticket sales dip really low?

Does anyone have anymore for the old Blue and Gold? I caught myself by the 2nd quarter already fast forwarding just to see if we can make a few first downs and move the ball.... it took me only half a game to revert back to last season when I would PVR a game and watch the whole thing in under 10 minutes. It was so bad that I actually choose to do house chores and watch Bellator MMA !

I'm pretty sure you could copy and paste and of your past reports from the last 5 years and it would explain exactly how the first half went...

I'm not disagreeing with your statement on the intentions of Dana White... some cheap easy publicity and it might get a few eyeballs. What I'm debating is just how high you place CM Punk's value (even two years ago) and it comes off that he was some kind of superstar with massive drawing power. CM Punk will just be distant memory in WWE's history.. no one is ever going to suggest he was a legend. Lashley was back in the day as "known" as CM Punk.... and look at how popular his MMA career is. Don't use Dana White as some kind of genius... this is the same man who tried to have a boxing match set up between himself and Tito Ortiz. He also has whiffed and made many many braindead decisions.

Completely false... he doesn't look like an athlete and outside of wrestling has he done anything at all to gain headlines? He is far from being a celeb... nobody outside of wrestling and a few die hard ufc fans have a clue who the hell CM Punk is. I could see if Punk was getting regular work on tv shows or movies and had some kind of appeal to people. You are vastly over rating CM Punk's popularity. Just because someone was over in WWE for a short period of time it doesn't mean that he is/was mainstream and a brand that can be marketed. Look at Bobby Lashley... no body gives a flying F about his fights and he at least has some freakshow aspect to him with his roided up body.

Whoever the Jets take I would have complete faith in the decision. Aside from Sutter nearly every pick has been bang on!

Is CM Punk a marketable fighter now or even back 2 years ago.... not really. The Heavyweight division is the easiest division for someone to go from no MMA experience to at least competing and winning fights. You can get by with pure physical talents at heavyweight. You have your top ten and then after that it's a whole bunch of absolute garbage. At welterweight or whatever weight CM Punk ends up fighting at.... their is so much depth in talent that it would be near impossible to give him a push and expect people to get excited for it. It's all a one and done kind of deal like James Toney.
