From what I saw Nichols actually played a normal game where he didn't hesitate and/or had the ability to look at this 2nd read and throw it to the guy. I thought Ottawa's defense had made plenty of dirty plays throughout the night... LaPo was a bit cute at times but it was good how they spread the ball out. Me thinks this is Dressler's last season... Overall good game and wish that it didn't had to go to OT because we outplayed them for 3.5 quarters of the game...

From the reports in pre-season it sounded like the coaching staff really were happy with the progress of Lemieux.

What the hell are you doing that requires 80-90 hours a week of work... nobody can sustain working like that for a career. If you decide to have kids you would either need a very understanding wife or a good divorce lawyer with a work schedule like that.

Maybe it's a different world... but it feels like the league has seen a massive drop off in NFL cuts that have come into the league mid season.... I don't understand how we have not had at least a handful of guys come in and try out at receiver?

I have no idea about your personal life... but for myself after having two young children the amount of free time I have at night is completely non existent. Unfortunately I am guilty of only watching the games on PVR if we win or if it's competitive... I don't like burning my 3 hours of free time per week on watching the team getting creamed. I do think we are close to being able to win a cup... just a few small tweaks would make a world of difference for the club. I'm a bit sad that Strelever didn't get the full season to grow and learn because long term I think he's the real deal.

It's frustrating because he does have guys wide open... lots of blame on the receivers and LaPo.... I don't see how anyone outside of Nichols can be blamed for this. Streveler in his brief times on the field was way more decisive...
