Bridge would be better then Willy. That being said I'd way rather we bring in anyone else ... I'd rather put Buck in uniform then those two guys.

Have you seen the difference between him and Streveler running and then colliding with the defense. The guy is physically weak. His ability to absorb a shot is the same.

So basically what they did for last game?

He was the best Als qb at that time and got the short end... maybe the Blue can swipe him away to be our 3rd stringer

I'm expecting much more interceptions but if he's pushing the ball down the field and our guys are at least making some of those 50/50 balls then I think we should be fine. It's unfortunate for him that his first game will be against the best defense in the league, it would of been nice if he could shake off the rust against a more crap defense.

Zero chance we bring in someone with zero knowledge of the offense and who has not been staying active. Maybe they bring in Kevin Glenn as a 3rd stringer for veteran presence for the two young guys. No way he would start.

On Offense this year how could I not? The oline has been rock solid, Harris is near perfect, the receivers have been the best it's been in years.... How can I blame anyone else when everyone does their job and the QB ends up holding onto the ball and going down for a sack. The receivers for the most part have not had the dropsies... it's been balls thrown way off target or else QB hanging on to late for the sack. Last game I gave Nichols praise in the first quarter because he took two steps back and tossed the ball out to the receivers to make a play. After the interception (not his fault) he started to play timid and game over for him. If we had an above average QB this offense would dominate and we would be steam rolling teams.

If you're living in the past then why not bring up how Nichols lost his starting job in Edmonton because of poor play? It's an impossible job for any coach to call a play when the QB gets *scared* and hangs onto the ball to long resulting in a sack.

Just give Khari the Coach of the Year award now

I don't think Nichols is a wimp if that's what is being suggested. He is however physically weak compared to most of the other qbs. Once he comes back from this injury I think he's on borrowed time and his career won't last that much longer. The guy goes down way to easily.

My only issue with Streveler is that sometimes he doesn't plant his foot when he throws and the ball ends up being a 50/50 ball. I don't care that he looks for the run often ... sometimes it works.

Streveler has regressed based on barely playing at all and running short yardage and trick plays? WTF?

I heard watching on TV a BC Sucks chant later in the game when we had the lead.

Once again... Nichols had plays called to him to throw deep.... he hung on to long and got hurt. Why do you refuse to admit that the issue is with Matt Nichols playing scared. Darian Durant's 2nd best passing season was with LaPolice so stop trying so hard blaming it on LaPo.

Streveler hasn't played enough to show if he's regressed (or progressed) from last season. I wouldn't count him as a savior just yet, I do think it was terrible timing for the Blue to put him in the game. I would of done it after at least one or two drives of Nichols not moving the ball.

Hey at least he didn't hold the ball for to long and then give up a fumble and hurt himself on a play where he had time....

Stop blaming LaPo for the play calling.... Nichols was running plays that were mid to deep and just froze in the pocket. After he tossed his interception (not his fault at all) it was like a switch and he shut off and could not make quick decisions at all. Our offense was fantastic (despite the play of Nichols after his int) We had great pass protection, great holes for Harris to run. The receivers I didn't see make any drops or miscues. Harris was beast mode YET again and dragged guys for so many tough yards. Whitehead with the 2nd and 19 screen that he willed his way into the first down. Matthews was great when passed to (1st quarter). The only blemishes from the O this game was the terrible penalty from Desjarlais, and the several unnecessary sacks and general play of Nichols after his pick.

This is what really perplexed me.... he was firing on all cylinders and then instantly just screeched to a halt and could not make a quick toss for his life.

I will say the Streveler pic was not a good one, tossed the ball off balance. Rest of the game he had to hand off so can't really say much about it. Nichols looked sensational at the beginning made quick reads and throws.... after the Wolly interception (all on the receiver for that one) and the STreveler pic he vanished. He had time but was way over thinking and because Harris was blocking he had no check downs so he froze and kept getting sacked. Absolutely frustrating that the guy can play one good quarter and then absolutely vanish. Kind of like Glenn back in the Berry days.

Nichols looked so good in the first quarter.... then vanished. Not blaming LaPo either because he kept getting sacked on mid to deep range routes... dude just didn't throw the ball.
