I posted the stats of how many 300 and 250 + yard games Nichols had in his career with the Blue and Gold. It's very clear that pre-injury Nichols pushed the ball down the field while post-injury Nichols has seen a sharp drop off on yards thrown. I don't think it's a difference in play calling, I think it's a QB that's either playing hurt and/or scared.

It's eerie on how similar TBURGESS and 17to85 are despite having a difference in opinion on the QB.....

It would be nice to just score and talk for at least one week about how Matthews had a break out game and how Whitehead was giving the ball in open field to utilize his speed etc....

So do they go with Buck next season as OC? Assuming that LaPo gets offered the HC job in BC? Or do they go elsewhere in fear of the passive influence of LaPo that may have rubbed off onto Buck?

I was told that it's a team game so why is the blame on Reilly? So what you are saying is that Nichols is better then Reilly because he made it to the play offs? Even Riderfans.com people aren't as delusional as that.

What's he going to say? Our QB sucks and resorts to passing to myself because he is to afraid to target his receivers?

So what's the excuse for the bad passing attack in the 2nd half when they had plenty of opportunities? What about late in the game when Nichols could shine and kill the clock and couldn't do squat?

Numerous people have said that they do run those patterns. Several from people who watch while at the game. Why should we believe what you say when you're watching on TV and can't see the field?

How many TD's did our O generate last game? Who saved our butts in the 4th quarter with a timely interception?

In game 1 that BC Lions o-line was horrid and we did not blitz often and I was hoping that we would put more pressure on Reilly. Seeing how ineffective our blitz has been the last several games.... I'm not sure if we should be heavy on the blitz.

Ok what about Masoli and Reilly last season or Burris and Durant before that....

Streveler will definitely throw more ints then Nichols no question about that. It's hard to throw interceptions when you are either getting sacked or throwing a 4 yard checkdown pass. Khari Jones tossed a tonne of picks but that's part of being an aggressive QB. As long as the ints are at least 50/50 balls going down field I don't mind it. When the interceptions are like the lame ducks that Pipkin throws while under pressure that is when it kills the team.

But receivers are running mid range routes , ball is not going their way.

It's not only the Riders, it seems like every team (aside from the Blue and Gold of course) has been getting away with terrible holds each game.

Why would anyone use Edem as an example of their team having better Canadian depth then Winnipeg?

Augustine has played great when called upon. The guy definitely hits the hole hard and can grind those hard yards.

It would be very nice if a local media person would actually do an in depth interview with the coaches or Nichols. Maybe ask to see if the dump offs to Harris are by design or a safe out because the receivers are being covered.

Nobody is getting changed mid season, it all comes down to what happens come play off time. If they win the big game then myself and a whole lot of people will look foolish about complaining about the QB and coaches and all will be great. If they get bounced then something will need to change.

Like I said before.... they are very slow at making adjustments. Maybe next time Nichols has a terrible half or more they will put in Chris to see if it can jump start the offense...

I don't think their is much debate on Bombers having the best defense in the league. That front seven is ridiculous even with the injuries. Our secondary also has a lot going for it.

Yes because this coaching staff has shown before that they are very slow to making adjustments. It took them nearly 3 games to finally give Streveler a chance to move the ball for us. I'd like to know who makes the decision to pull Nichols between O'Shea and LaPo. If it's LaPo.... then I want both guys to go ASAP. How many times since O'Shea has arrived that we have complained about loyalty to a fault and keeping players who stink much longer then they need to.

I'm not a huge Harris fan at all (flakey when times get tough, not good in cold weather, apparently a bad team mate) but unquestionable he's a better qb then Nichols is. He is able to go through more then one read and able to throw the ball down the field. Nichols in the last 3 weeks has been better then who ? Pipkin and Jennings... hardly anything to brag about. Fajardo is even better which is sad.
