The eye test IMO showed that McGuire seemed much more poised and polished then all the other pre season qbs that everyone over hyped. Marve was only beloved because he could move and had a strong arm.... after years of limp noodle arm guys it was nice to see someone who didn't float every pass.

What were our other options? Arbuckle - Small sample size still un proven.... Nichols - Coming off yet another injury and wouldn't be ready for the start of the season. Prone to injuries. MBT - Healthy, a bit nutty... has not shown enough to justify a massive contract. I could understand if we had options that were more healthy... but we don't so we did the best with what was available. Any QB that we could of brought in would be considered a gamble. It's not like the early 90's where every off season their was a carousal of starting qbs that we could pick from...

And this is why I think it's tragic that the media and people ignore all the faceless people who are taken way to early.

The scope is minuscule compared to so many other tragedies that happen across the world. I just don't see why a rich famous person is more sad or bigger news then 100's of poor people dying in China?

I don't understand why anyone would want to celebrate his death that's weird. On the same hand every day innocent people are taken to early... I don't see why Kobe's death is so much more sad then your average person.

I'm perfectly fine with spending that much money and perfectly fine if Strev does go to the NFL. At this point the only free agent that I really want them to bring back is Willie. Anyone else is a bonus.

Toronto did not get Nichols? The trade is a 1st rounder for Collaros and a Grey Cup..... We made out like bandits with that trade! I'll trade a 1st rounder for a starting QB + Grey Cup any day.

Backup in Montreal/ Saskatchewan? Also.... how will Zach's wife survive being a teacher in Manitoba... who on here said that her job was a deal breaker in coming back

How is McGuire suppose to get experience if he's never given a chance to be the back up. Great move by the Blue.... depends on the contract but we may have enough room to sign Nichols also. I'm sure he's loyal enough to take a 200k

MBT used to be with us so it's not like they hated his character before. Also he is looney but it's not like he was a cancer in the locker room.

How is Hall looking these days? Is he still doing good after his time with DDP?

Aside from the one great TD from Whitehead, I can't remember seeing him do absolutely anything else during the regular season.

Collaros didn't completely suck with his last few teams. He had injury issues but wasn't completely terrible. Also when we did bring him in it wasn't like we had a whole lot of other options since it was mid season and luckily Toronto flipped him to us. Are you really going to compare Kilgore with Collaros??

Nichols didn't completely suck with Edmonton , some folks were surprised that they demoted him because of his play. Are you really going to compare Kilgore with Nichols??

Nelson was a better returner then Whitehead and had better hands at receiver. Maybe and hopefully Whitehead wasn't used properly and he can become our own Banks (minus the whining)

Once again .... I'd way rather have growing pains with McGuire then Jennings. I'm pretty sure at this point if we want a qb who will toss random passes into double coverage that any random qb could do the same. I don't understand the fascination of bringing in someone new who has zero knowledge of our system and guys and who completely sucked with their last team.

Why the hell would we bring in crap like Kilgore or Davis who have shown that they suck and cannot amount to anything? I'd way rather play McGuire and experience the growing pains then to waste time with guys who have never shown anything. I'd be ok with MBT since he has at least shown that he can perform at times.

Nelson was better then Whitehead... that being said I'd like to see Whitehead get a 2nd chance with Pierce as the OC.

I would assume they lost a lot of business to the dollar stores and online greetings.....
