Collaros signs 2 year deal
I dunno man the Redblacks might use Nichols for leverage in signing Arbuckle or they might decide that they want a sure thing (Lapo must have a thing for Nichols). If Ottawa is involved at all it might get Toronto off their butts to go for a "sure thing". 3rd round draft pick to own Nichols negotiating rights could be a thing

Collaros signs 2 year deal
If there were multiple teams looking at signing Nichols you could probably get something for him. But Toronto must know that nobody else is clamoring for him.

Collaros signs 2 year deal
Always wanted Collaros but man that guaranteed money is scary. Even the most protected QBs can get hurt. How many QBs made it through the whole season last year?

2019-20 CFL Offseason
Gotcha. Well, as you know sometimes the starting QB is not chosen by just the offensive coordinator. and starting a more experienced QB in the playoffs (see: Collaros) can be a more pragmatic decision. Maybe Lapo still likes him? At the very least it appears he'll be giving him another shot.

I thought Lapo was a fan of Davis? Am I forgetting what happened?

Bomber Free Agent Discussion
Whitehead is mostly speed, which he has a lot of. I feel like partway through the year he was battling an injury or was given too much responsibility as he didn't look to have as much of a burst. Nelson is just more polished as a football player to me, has better vision for returns and runs better routes. He isn't as fast as Whitehead but uses his quickness well in small spaces. You can't just outrun everybody in the pros.

I remember O'Shea gushing over Nelson. He wasn't directly comparing him to Charles Roberts, but the way he talked about him reminded me of the same qualities. Slippery, can't find him when he's coming out of the backfield, fast, good hands. The only thing he doesn't have is size. Probably isn't as strong as Grant and not as fast as Whitehead...but his other qualities make him a better slot.

2019-20 CFL Offseason
Amazing idea. Based on our average of around 24000 we could definitely afford to get in on a couple thousand youth season tickets. I worry that after a Grey Cup though that they are going to try to squeeze every penny out of us

That ONE win.....that ONE loss
The Grey Cup game wasn't exactly the most gripping one of the 3, but would I have wanted it to be closer? Hell no. My only complaint is that we didn't beat Sask worse.

Regardless of the quote I dont get the sense that Dinwiddie is going to be the one to get them out of the basement. But I hope I'm wrong, to an extent.

O'Shea and Walters Re-Sign
I don't think Sask was that far behind Calgary this year as far as overall talent. But they were fortunate enough this year in several different ways to get the home playoff game. Their luck ran out against us (though it was almost looking like it wasn't). If we play them at home we would have annihilated them in the Western Final. This team won the Grey Cup the hard way this year. Hopefully next year we can finally win the West and make it a lot easier on ourselves

2020 CFL Free-Agents
Certain NFL teams really like looking at CFL free agents. NYG, PHI and MIA come to mind.

O'Shea and Walters Re-Sign
There shouldn't be any drop off from Lapo to Buck. It's been stated that he has been very involved in game planning. That and being a QB coach and former QB he should be very capable to run this offence. RR has a keen eye for CFL players that would be much harder to replace for us at this time.
