Amazing that all I'm hearing from the Regina side is how bad they played and that losing the Banjo Bowl is their ticket to winning the Grey Cup.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
BBlink replied to B-F-F-C's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah that too. I was actually stating things as a positive. It's pretty clear that to win a game you only have to pass for 200 yards with no interceptions. Having Strevelers running game is just a bonus -

He only threw 21 passes today and nearly threw for 200 yards. That's actually pretty decent. 2 TDS no INTs. He's starting to take control and looking way more comfortable passing. Surprised Fajardo only threw 24 passes. Thats time of possession for you -
Is this real life

I'm a Bailey Booster now boys

I'm pretty excited to see Rasheed Bailey play. In pre-season I was a Lawler guy but I know there were quite a few Bailey guys.

half season, will the Bombers go to and win the Cup?
BBlink replied to Mark F's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Why can't we win the cup? Our defense has been phenomenal and our offense with Nichols and Harris is good enough. If it's not Hamilton then we should still be favoured to win the cup. Funny that the moment the Riders beat the Bombers in the LDC without our starting QB and RB is also the first time where I'm hearing Grey Cup probabilities. lol Get real. -
That's because Kenny Lawler is the best. We knew this.
-
What did McCallister think he was in for? You gotta pay your dues to get ahead of the likes of Jeffcoat, Jefferson and Roh.

One thing I have to admit is that going into this year I expected a lot from Streveler. Maybe too much considering it is his second year. I think we can all admit that he's our best chance at developing a starting quarterback in a while, but he still needs that time to develop. -

Quality post Colin. I liked the point about our pass blocking. Young o-line in the middle and an injured Hardrick, not to mention the experience of Andrew Harris blocking... And you can kind of see what's been going on. Makes total sense. Nichols would have been blasted behind the pass blocking streveler has been getting -

Was getting concerned after the first quarter but I look at that game thinking Streveler made chicken salad out of chicken **** more than a couple of times -
Very important game to win if we want to hold onto first place. Gotta believe Streveler took a step yesterday. Obviously far from a complete quarterback but given the cards he was dealt he made a real go of it

Im down on the defense but it is what it is. The unwinnable game was not won, again. Props to the referees for making sure of it, though

Penalties pretty lopsided

Juke of my life

Well you're right about one thing. Our D has been the only good part of the game so far though. We haven't gotten a first down have we?
-
Powell's 10 yarder our guy was held right in front of him. Wtf

Hopefully McCallister sticks around this time

So what you're saying is that we are too good for the NFL
-
https://www.cfl.ca/2019/08/28/nfl-cut-tracker-plenty-cfl-ties-south/ Zero guys in the NFL. Does that say anything about our team/scouting/recruiting? We are 8-2 so our team is good as a whole but we seem to have trouble finding the next all star that is so good they are destined for the NFL.
-
Yeah if Matthews isn't adding anything to the team we may as well use the money to sign a guy that will. 150k (or whatever) could get you that last piece of the puzzle for a cup run.
-
O'Shea also said that Chris Matthews was going to be a big part of our offense this year.
-
Has anyone heard anything about Charles Nelson? He would also be a great guy to have on the roster.
-
It certainly feels like a lot of adversity at once. But this team was doing well without Chris Matthews before and will do well without him again.
