Football games are 60 minutes long..... The deal... is to not simply dig ourselves right into a deep hole, for the first 30, 40.... or in this case closer to 50 minutes. The tiresome reality.... is that the Bombers continue to do this game, after game, after game.......a critical factor that leads to loss, after loss, after loss. As soon as they kick that habit.....you will certainly see an uptick in approval and more confidence from the fans, towards this team. ...and just perhaps... a decrease in gin consumption. But I am not making promises....

Miss a pass, take a penalty, drop a pass, fail on short yardage......Bombers kept themselves off the field alright, while the Als kept themselves on. Don't know what the TOP at the end of the 3rd was.....but pretty sure it was ugly,

When we got Harris going, it seemed to help kick start the passing game.......however, we hardly had the ball (Montreal O) for most of the game....

Sure, Willy missed some throws, and held the ball too long for a couple of sacks...... But a number of other things went wrong...... in a game where we got dominated for 50 min. We looked unprepared coming out of the gate....for the umpteenth time. Yup, Glenn played a good game.....but to complete 30 passes, you have to have a lot of open receivers.

Well, we should all be experts by now......after watching the last 175 sacks.....

In the interests of not being too negative and giving it a "fair shake": Attributing some of Willy's performance to new O system, new guys around him and not playing meaningful minutes, since middle of last year....is fair ball and not necessarily cheerleading..... It is also more than fair to expect Willy to be much more effective and productive on Friday. If this does not happen, asking pretty hard questions is fair ball, as well.

Johnson is having enough problems just staying with receivers.....

When we get 5 solid guys......problem solved....whenever that might be, hopefully in my lifetime.....

Truth is, we all would of been a little more upbeat, if this O had done anything at all, in the first 45-50 minutes of the game....... Is Willy capable of being better....of course - in fact, I EXPECT improvement. But these slow, slow, slow starts in general, are still killing us......which brings us back to preparation from the coaches, and the mental makeup of the team....

There is also a group thinking "plague on both their houses"

Considering it was Glenn, who's MO is widely known to virtually everyone......not sure what our D strategy, was out there......certainly didn't work very well

Agree on Bryant....but thought he underformed at bit last year Goossen is still learning, on the job How many years have we waited for actually recruiting American studs on this OL? Too early to state that the problem is solved yet... Chung will be very good.....for a long time Neufeld is a 6 yr vet who has proven not that much, up to now ....

At lot of folks have converted themselves into air raid shelters, as far as this OL. If you subtract one average guy, a guy who will be good, a guy who might be good some day.....then really, how many real proven players do we have there - right now?

Well, there is the talk.....and there is actually showing up for more than 10-20 minutes in a game. At least they don't have the pressure of having to "defend home turf" Reaching hard here.....

I hear ya, went through a 18 yr drought before my championship thirst was quenched........now followed by a 26 year (and counting)....with frankly no end in sight....

Everybody knows that you have to come up strong underneath and make Glenn hold the ball in the pocket, and take his reads farther down the field - this also sets up your blitzes. Coverage was too soft in the short zones, letting KG do the ole pitch and catch in rhythm.... and even when he looked down the field, our shinny new DL failed to crunch the pocket. 30 completions....major, major fail. Montreal was able to run their game plan to perfection......

Any fanbase can only absorb so much losing.....

Wouldn't be the first QB, we have broken down, round here. Looked like a combination of rust, lack of timing and some lack of confidence from Willy, last night. Someone needs to explain to Bob Wyle and the rest of the brain trust .....that having any QB take 50+ sacks and a couple of hundred hits, every year does take a toll. Better hope that we are going to get a better fit between O scheme and current QB moving forward. Better execution all round - catching, blocking etc would help as well. Recognizing the problems is not rocket science - the deal is what this coaching staff and the QB are going to do about - right bloody now.

Well, Bombers showed a great deal of patience, waiting until the last 10 minutes to resemble a actual football team. We need to take a lesson from this......uh, of some sort...

I listened to it, coming back on the bus..... A lot of focus on the last 10 minutes, in terms of encouraging signs, and "something to build on" Which makes sense, as the other 50 minutes of it was a crap show. MOS stated that the 4th quarter saved us from "total embarrasment" I trust this is not the target or standard, going forward Bob and Doug talked about the O "needing time to gell" with Lapo. Not what we had heard in camp, X-games or the runup to this game.
