  1. Are people really surprised that the trial will fail? Senate is still very much in contention and the US is very much split on party lines, and was long before Trump. That 5 republicans voted against their party is the biggest surprise here.

The Senate will not vote to impeach. Clear as day. You won't get 17 republicans voting for it.

Better luck in the courts (I hope). But if the cases hit the Supreme Court, that will be the interesting case. See if judges follow the law or their political affiliation (yeah, like that's an unanswered question).

Grandstanding for the QAnon cult and other assorted nutjobs.    Do the GOP truly understand how inane this makes them look?

Isn't there some way to have idiots like this removed if they try this ****? Other than voting them out? Can't a senator be removed?

    God I'm tired of bullshit.

No one associated with the Trump administration or any of if enablers should be allowed to attend the inauguration and that especially includes his children, Ivanka is dumber than I thought

I wonder if her being there would dissuade some of the potential rioters from taking further action. Or at least encourage the orange ******* to try to dissuade them.

When he's talking about tempering the sword, I can't help but think to watching Forged in Fire. Anytime a forger does a second or third quench, the judges cringe because they know it makes the metal more brittle, not stronger. In the same way, I'm not sure America can survive continued strife of this nature. Jan 20th is a big day, and first and foremost there needs to be a National Guard presence to keep those who would violently object at bay. But more than that I think people need to stand up and say enough is enough. This is done and if you want to undo it, you will have your chance in 4 years.

I hope nothing happens in 10 days, but I do fear there will be more violence.

Why is the focus only on the senators? What about the 100+ members of congress?

Amazing how these social platforms have just now figured out....that they are "allowing too many posts that encourage violence and crimes"

This social platform hasn't done anything, just Apple & Google. You can still browse to the site (if you wanted to).

These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!

Oh, it will be remembered alright..

Twitter really needs to ******* pull his account.

this is really important. specially for climate action.

mcconnell of course would have obstructed ny decent candidates.

and its so enjoyable that tie vote goes to Kamala Harris

unlike Obama, Biden pelosi schumer now must do substantial work to help the people that  voted for them.

    wake the fack up.

Thing is, with the way the US is, they will have 2 years of control. Next cycle of elections will swing back republican. So they really need to get their **** together and accomplish something that doesn't bankrupt the US, in the next 2 years.
