It’s just bad reporting overall, the context behind this situation makes it all seem very reasonable. Richmond had job opportunities in the US and to make it worth his while to stay, he needed to be at a certain pay tier. Everyone involved handled this properly, it just didn’t work out.

Not just a heavier workload but the Stamps are bringing most of their projected starters on offense so he (and the rest of the rookies on D) will be up against legit players and not a bunch of TCF.

That's his statement.  3D article says they couldn't agree on a restructured contract so he bailed.  So he was under contract already and either asked for more or they asked him to take a pay cut going into a season where he was expected to play.  I'm guessing it was the former and not the latter.

Yeah not a test of how well our offense does as a team but (expectations are very low) but the receivers and QB's are going to be tested individually to see who's going to step up and grab a spot on the team.  QB3 and Bailey's replacement need to be determined (if the coaches haven't already decided) so that's what I'm looking for.
