  1. Felt like a no-lose situation for me. Get it right and I keep my lead, get it wrong and Bombers win. I'm very happy with the results! 😂
  2. Bauming also says Gaitor was working through a longer term injury so it may not have even been an on-field thing.
  3. And if injuries haven't taken them out, they've certainly hampered their play to an extent where it's not surprising they didn't get picked (like Hardrick).
  4. His average is impressive... ball placement not so much.
  5. I also didn't like that they tried selling the story that they would be setting a bad precedent but ignored the fact that a player with a drug suspension can and has been nominated before. These few local hacks are out on a limb by themselves it would seem. They wouldn't name Harris as an outstanding nominee but their fellow FRC members had no issues naming him an all-star.
  6. He could have easily just said he's not focused on that right now, it's all about the playoffs. And that other stuff will work itself out in the off-season.
  7. One of my all-time favorites and still gets played regularly when I'm driving. One of my oldest memories is that they weren't allowed to play Rage at the Oak (Killing in the name of, specifically) because it got people too fired up. The good ol days! 😂
  8. Calgary seems to be hurting as well. Might be an interesting battle of the backups this weekend.
  9. So you figure Claybrooks will end up in Toronto too? Interesting... 😉
  10. Lost all respect for Bauming on this. Cross-contamination is a huge issue and rather than address that, he sticks to the story of the athlete being 100% responsible for their body. That's known as the strict liability policy and other sports are now questioning that line of thinking. There's an article on The Athletic about this right now, with the head of the UFC's anti-doping program. https://theathletic.com/1325861/2019/10/26/in-a-contaminated-world-can-common-sense-prevail-with-the-ufc-anti-doping-policy/
  11. HBO confirmed a while ago that while they had multiple concepts (5 according to GRRM), they only planned to have one show. "We had four scripts in development when I arrived in LA last week, but by the time I left we had five," George RR Martin said in a blog post. But HBO's President of Programming Casey Bloys then took it upon himself to clarify what was actually happening, announcing that while several shows are in development, HBO only expects to produce one in the end: "The idea is not to do four shows [or five, as we now know]." https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a835085/game-of-thrones-prequel-spin-off-show-cast-date-ideas/
  12. Nope, no similarities there at all... Whoever decided that was a good shirt to put out there, needs to give their head a shake.
  13. Interesting... not sure how well this will work for them with their current roster (2 years ago would have probably been the ideal time). It does sound like they are lowering expectations though by talking about growing their brand before moving into bigger venues.
  14. Looked like Fenix got a busted nose from a V Trigger late in the match. He was leaking pretty good but didn't seem to bother him.

He's got some name value (for better or worse) and he fights at heavyweight where talent is always scarce. They hope that, given his natural athletic ability, he can develop into something special. I'm not convinced yet, based on what I've seen so far and the favourable match-ups they've given him.
  16. Agreed. And they still haven't shown all their roster yet (at least on Dynamite). They still have a number of very talented workers who have only appeared in dark matches so far.
