  1. If that's the GC match up, who do the Gappers in attendance pull for? The Bombers or Harris who's been public enemy #1 there for a number of years?
  2. He certainly enjoys playing Hamilton in the playoffs.
  3. Carey got worse with each game against us this year. 110 yards the 1st game, 92 yards the next and 62 yards in the last game. If we contain him the way we did in the last game, it's not going to be an issue.
  4. They did... It's only one half of the group and a couple other random guys I've never heard of.
  5. Not sure if it's been mentioned but this is now playing in Winnipeg (Grant Park & Polo Park).
  6. And (iirc) a thank you to Bob Young for helping keep the league afloat during the pandemic.
  7. Players absolutely care. It's not just a pride thing either, some players have all-star clauses in their contract so this stuff affects their finances as well.
  8. Might improve the quality of his blogs.
  9. The CFL has taken the page down at the moment but when I read it earlier, the section you quoted was in one spot but lower down in the article it said fans also had a say.
  10. From the NFL PA site (https://nflpa.com/active-players/faq/what-is-a-credited-season-and-what-does-it-mean-to-be-vested):
  11. It's 100% just to make it seem like the club was actually doing something. This was the nearly the best outcome possible though (imo) & I love the fact that they are being hooped by the coaches cap when they (and Chris Jones) are the reason it exists in the first place.
  12. I was going to say his lack of mobility was a most certainly a change for Rourke but then I looked at the stats from the game against us earlier in the year. Zero rushing attempts - the only team he could not run against. I'm guessing Calgary's D-Line is very much looking forward to Sunday.
  13. Yeah, he's not just collecting a pay cheque like many CFL'ers who catch on with an NFL team. He's been one of their better defenders and still has room to grow/learn.
  14. You have to also consider how bad the team was back then. The prospect of getting two NFL caliber players offered a bit of hope. Now it would just be a bonus.
  15. It's up to O'Day to bring the players in but Dickenson would have input to what the roster looks like. The GM doesn't work independently of the coaches/scouts so they are all responsible for that glorious mess over there.
  16. One game closer to the NFL pension before coming home!
  17. I want to see a TD from Wideout Willie if they're going to keep lining him up out there.
  18. If correct, it's odd then that he would turn around and then dump on the party for the way the leadership race was handled and the way they are running government. He could have bowed out of the leadership race for the same reasons he gave (not enough time to mount a serious campaign) without throwing the party under the bus. I agree that anyone would have had a tough time stepping in during the pandemic, but Gillingham seems like the anti-Pallister, in that he seems to be thoughtful and considerate. A leader like him could have potentially turned things around for the party but instead you get a completely out of touch Stefanson who has only further eroded their support.
