  1. Tillman was GM in BC when they won in 94 & in TO when they won in 97 as well.
  2. Our 1st home game wasn't pretty. 38-13 at half-time.
  3. Deadline for the Syrian refugees has been pushed back by 2 months. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/Deadline-for-25000-refugees-pushed-back-two-months-353211181.html
  4. To quote you earlier in the thread, should he have rented a Prius?
  5. Lawless is usually right about this stuff so I've got my fingers crossed that this is just him speculating rather than something that's already set & just hasn't been announced yet.
  6. There are multiple examples of Canadian born players that you could say that about (Hello Eric Lindros!) though and American-born players that haven't shown that attitude at all (Drew Stafford for example).
  7. I'll be pulling for the Evil Empire. I appreciate what Ottawa has been able to do this year but I can't cheer for Burris or Jovon who can't seem to stop talking about Winnipeg... time to move on buddy!
  8. Street Fighter is safe... it doesn't claim to be authentic!
  9. He does. They just had Lapo & Climie on the Jets game. Lapo was decked out in Jets gear and Orelesky mentioned that he still lives here.
  10. As long as she doesn't act like it's her first time.
  11. Somebody better tell Obby to find a new line of work!
  12. I think I've seen a grand total of one funny tweet from him. I can't even remember if was really all that funny, it only stood out because of who it came from. I had to do a double take to make sure that it wasn't just a re-tweet.
  13. Eric Rogers might disagree with you. Desjardins is still the guy who didn't think the best receiver in the league was even worth bringing to training camp last year. Not saying he doesn't deserve credit for the season they've had, but it doesn't negate all the dumb s**t he's done.
  14. Honestly, I don't see how you can come to these black and white conclusions, unless you are privy to counter-terrorism intelligence that no one else here is. The truth is, no one knows what terrorist groups have infiltrated these camps, and radicalized the people living in them. But I agree that we can't allow this fear to stop Canada from letting in refugees, and I support these efforts. There is no way to ever know fully if the people we are allowing in will one day decide to strap on a vest and self-detonate, but such is the way it is. Bring on the refugees. Great point. This is why I feel like the refugee "threat" is being over blown & politicized somewhat because the terrorist threats are not limited to refugees. If the Paris & Ottawa incidents have shown anything, it's that immigrants and natural born citizens are being radicalized and are just as willing or likely to commit these crimes.
  15. They only signed him after the last regular season game when Matthews got hurt. It was done out of necessity, not strategy.
  16. He dressed for 2 games in 2013 and recorded 1 tackle on special teams.
  17. Kodi itself is legal, it's simply a media player. The 3rd party add-ons fall into the grey area. One of the biggest differences between this and torrents is that you aren't file sharing.
  18. I'm not a craft beer guy (tried it in my youngers days and was pretty turned off by what I had tasted) but this thread made me thirsty on a slow Friday afternoon. Got some ideas for what I want to try, just hope the LC has some in stock. Sticking mainly with IPA's this time but I'm going to grab a couple ESB's just to test the waters.
  19. Wheeler took a Buff shot off the head this morning.... If there's one guy you don't want to be hit by, it's him! http://www.tsn.ca/ice-chips-jets-wheeler-injured-at-practice-1.396945
  20. Torrents crossed with Netflix is one way you could describe it.
  21. It's a free program (it used to be called XBMC or X-Box Media Center). You can run it from a computer or off a box (think apple tv), all you need is an internet connection. You can watch whatever you want (TV show, movie, sporting event, you name it) by loading "add-ons" which are basically subprograms that someone has created. There are tons of add-ons, some are focused on certain things like only streaming movies or tv shows, while others do multiple things. They are pretty fast at uploading too, you can usually find a stream within minutes of a show ending. Some addons have live streaming but I find those tend to be hit & miss.
  22. When I went to pick up my GC tickets, the guy standing beside me was informed his tickets had been upgraded. I had a couple thoughts when that went down: A) What if he specifically chose those seats to be near friends (as we did when we picked ours)? He said he wasn't told about the upgrade prior so he was pretty surprised by it. B ) You think they'd be a little more discreet about basically rewarding people who bought the cheapest tickets they could get. Just to blurt it out in the middle of the Bomber store with a bunch of people waiting for their full priced tickets felt like a bit of a slap in the face. No extra bonus for us, even though we paid double the price.
  23. If they price the channels high enough individually, we'll end up paying more for less than what we have now. IIRC, they only have to offer these new deals, people can choose to stay with their existing packages if it's a better deal for them. Once they reveal the prices for the individual channels, people will have to do the math to see if there's any benefit for them in switching to the pick & pay system.
  24. So don't look for this guy then?
