He shouldn't have been brought back this time either but it happened. The only way I can see him back is if they found another ex-wrestler to fight. I don't know anyone who would fit the bill though (weight class, interest, big enough name, etc) so would be highly unlikely.

Yep Dana even admitted that the fight should have been on fight pass. He also said at age 39, that should be a wrap for Punk. Dana always hedges his bets though and didn't flat out says he was finished in the UFC. It's all about money so if the buyrates were good, they probably wouldn't rule out bringing him back.

It's not a huge number but since we are going more Canadian on offense, there's less need/room for imports on that side of the ball this season. Other than Lankford, is there another import on offense you could see getting replaced by a rookie?

Last year that play was legal but this year it's not. A player can no longer be upfield then come back towards the line of scrimmage to block like that. I have to think this was the case for some of the cuts. There were a few guys that played well enough for a roster spot but got caught up in a numbers game. Wouldn't be surprised to see some of them find a home somewhere else.

NJPW is just starting their move into the North American market and looking at how many gaijin title holders they have now, they are taking it seriously. Up until recently, they've haven't really ever catered to the fans here and yet they still have a decent fan base. It's going to be interesting to see how much it'll grow going forward.
