3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea
bigg jay replied to JCon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Press conference is at 1pm per Darren Cameron. -
Senior is definitely in the range where he should either be a late round pick or gets scooped up as a free agent. NFLdraftscout.com has him ranked 22nd (as a comparison to last year, Josiah St.John was ranked 48th in a smaller draft class for OT's). Auclair will get some looks and we already know Simonise has NFL interest (whether he returns to Cincinnati or not) so that would only leave Ankou ahead of him in the current rankings & I'm not sure how much NFL interest there is in him.
-
December draft rankings are out. Justin Senior retains the top spot from the September rankings but changes all over the place after that. http://www.cfl.ca/2016/12/08/auclair-skyrockets-december-cfl-scouting-bureau-rankings/

Around The League Off Season Discussion

That only leaves the their current assistant GM Joey Abrams, unless they interviewed someone else that nobody knows about. -
Because if you're including trades, then it's not the correct order. It's only correct for the rest of the draft if you ignore the 7 other trades and one forfeit that have already happened. He was clarifying that this is the order for the draft on the whole, before trades, not just the 1st round.

So does Brandon Whittaker. Just motivation for him to be even better next year!
-
Could have gone in the football forum I suppose since he had a cup of coffee with the Argo's in 2004. http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/06/us/heisman-winner-nfl-rashaan-salaam-dies/index.html

Which is why he said not including trades. BC would be at #3 if trades were factored in.

TNSE Bids for 2019 World Juniors (with Saskatoon)
bigg jay replied to Rich's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
No tourney for us. Vancouver/Victoria will host. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/winnipeg-saskatoon-lose-world-juniors-bid-1.3876976 -
Probably the same way he reacted to the other 2 fighters associations that currently exist... with laughter. Having Bjorn Rebney (former head of Bellator) involved is scaring a lot of fighters away. His reputation is not one that is very fighter friendly (just ask Eddie Alvarez). The fact that there are now 3 competing associations just divides the fighters and makes them easy for the UFC to ignore. If they were a strong united group it might be different.

But if they already knew he wasn't coming back, why bother? It could very well be that the club wasn't sold on him but he could have been looking for a better chance to play. He was the number 4 qb here and didn't come close to seeing the field. He probably has a much better shot in Regina.
-
He was going to be a free agent (like all our QB's) so maybe it was apparent to the club that he wasn't going to be re-signing. Having him on the active roster would have meant one less spot for someone who was actually coming back.

Season 2 of Letterkenny coming soon!

Wish Reed would have come back to us in the 1st place back in 2014, instead of going to Hamilton. He was on our PR in 2013 but we released him so he could sign with the Dallas Cowboys.
-
Game would already be over if Parades doesn't miss that convert.
-
One upside is that it probably means someone (Toronto or Saskatchewan?) will have to over pay for his services next season.

First post 'expectations in '17'
bigg jay replied to DowntownStadium's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So when attendance was terrible at the old stadium, what was the excuse then? If you look at the numbers from the late 90's, the attendance sucked worse than they do now and they didn't have to compete with the NHL either. -
You mean like their hockey team?
-
Calgary & Toronto have both won 5 of the last 25 cups. BC, Montreal & Edmonton each have 4 (Montreal's number includes the year Baltimore won).
-
I have no doubt that's what they would say. Milanovich may have pushed for it but ultimately Barker still holds the final word. If Osh was to leave and take the Argos job, it would be ironic that he would be the coach to inherit that situation.
-
Given the price they paid, I almost think they are stuck with Willy (at a reduced amount or not). Can you imagine the reaction here if we traded away the 1st overall pick and then cut the guy we got in return after a couple games? Then again, Toronto doesn't have any fans, so who would actually care?
