Game 50 : The Drakes @ The Jinx
You are such a drama queen, it is unbelievable. Not every line placement is the result of some hidden grudge. Maurice said he wants to get a look at the top line with both Copp on the wing, and then Petan on the wing and Copp at centre on the 4th. Sounds like a coach who is using an injury as an opportunity to get a look at two young players in different spots. It's almost like he is trying to find the best ways to use players instead of assuming he already knows the perfect lineup, like you have since before training camp apparently.

It makes sense. I've bounced back and forth between voting Liberal and voting Conservative basically for this reason. Neither party represents me 100% so usually I go for change. IMO a nice balance is 2 terms Left, 1 term Right. Tax and spend is a decent way to stimulate the economy but it can't go on forever or you end up with what the NDP left Manitoba... high taxes and massive debt. Similarly, too much time in power for Conservatives can cause problems as well (see Filmon regime). I think in general it is good to switch out the party in power after 2 terms max. But I've never in my lifetime seen a party in power that is as... radical as Trump. So who knows what's going to happen.

Tone deaf to what? "The company is supposed to be better"... according to who? It's fine that you have certain standards but I don't know why you think everyone feels the same way you do. Or that a company like WWE is obligated to feel that way. I mean, yeah, there are a minority of fans that are upset about Snuka and don't feel he should be honoured. So what? There's a minority of people that are pissed off about stuff all the time. No one is obligated to kowtow to them.

I didn't catch many facts from that article but I certainly saw a lot of spin from a guy who clearly has no idea what he's talking about

Oh **** I didn't think you would see this

Is it tone deaf? Rightly or wrongly I see that the majority of fans do not really seem to be bothered by his crimes, judging by comments on twitter and reddit. I'd say 70/30 in favour of "RIP Snuka!" and "One of the greatest of all time".

Perhaps but look at it this way: Hellebuyck - 16-13-0-1 Hutchinson - 4-10-0-3 If we get even marginally better backup goaltending (say, we kept Pavelec with the Jets instead of Hutchinson), we're flirting with the playoffs and perhaps even above the line right now.

Agreed. Everyone knew there would be growing pains this year, but then when it actually happens, everyone panics.

So is Schiefele a vet now?
That's a little too hand-wavey for me. I expect a fully collated report on my desk by next Tuesday

Game 48 : Alexander @ The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Team
Wishful thinking? Maybe he would but let's remember he's got some incredible personnel in Chicago and they are 15th in PP% and 28th in PK% (worse than WPG).

And I could choose to take my pants off at any point but my co-workers wouldn't appreciate it. Well some might. Most, probably. OK my pants are coming off!

So is Schiefele a vet now?
You're never going to be able to define when a player has those qualities by age or number of games played... it's different from player to player. Might as well ask what age a player becomes a leader. And by your definition I would almost certainly say that yes, Schiefele is a vet.

I'd love to see Claude Julien here. Paul MacLean, I'm not so sure, his time in Ottawa was pretty average but their record was always at or above fake .500 which we can't say about Maurice so it's tough to argue with results. Dineen is totally unproven but probably at the top of my "coaching prospects" list.

Hey I already used that one! Climate change is almost certainly affected in some way by humans but taxing and destroying businesses isn't the way to stop it. Encouraging innovations such as electric cars and renewable energy like solar and hydro is the way forward. Taxing the public is just the lazy way for the government to say they're doing something about climate change.
