I hated the call but you can be called for slashing even when it is stick-on-stick. Just usually has to be more egregious than that, eg. the other player's stick breaks or is knocked out of his hands.

Armia, Lowry, Matthias would be a fine fourth line but as a third line they are dragging the team down. The third line HAS to produce. There is no 2 ways about it. They have to put the puck in the net more often. All three of those players have shown far more offensive talent than Armia. Sorry but it's true.

Armia's gotta be the most overrated player on the team. Early in the season we had people asking why he's not in the top six, he deserves it more than Stafford/Perreault, etc.... ummm maybe it's because he has no finish or playmaking ability. But hey he works hard (or at least he did for awhile) and he's young so it must be a conspiracy that Maurice doesn't put him in the top six.

Yeah, I guess they have already started to spend. But they also have around 20 of their own free agent so I'm guessing we see a very different Rider squad next year especially on defence. They fielded 20 new guys every week last season so imagine what Chris Jones can do in a year..

Lots of time left til training camp for the Riders to improve their roster. They've made some cap space and I expect them to spend in free agency like the Bombers did last year. As for the Bombers it would be nice to get an experienced arm but I wouldn't count on it. Maybe a guy like LeFevour.
