  1. Lol this is news now? Not exactly an uncommon thing among men. Might as well report on drinking pepto-bismol for stomach pain.
  2. http://www.denverpost.com/2017/01/12/vince-young-probation-dwi-case/
  3. Better than Tanev at this point in their respective careers.
  4. Ha ha oh my god. It's so ridiculous it will probably come true.
  5. Yeah I understand the point I was just curious about the statement. It was just a simple mistake/omission on Jacquie's part but it's important to provide accurate evidence to back up talking points or the points get ignored in favour of declaring the proof "incorrect."
  6. Then the bet is on. If I win, you have to mow my lawn wearing my wife's Sunday dress. If you win, I will mow your lawn wearing your wife's Sunday dress.
  7. I think SJ Green still got some juice in the tank. 32 and coming back hungry after a knee injury... I wouldn't bet against him.
  8. 4? With Scheifele, Ehlers, and Laine all firing on all cylinders, 4 should be easy. Just put a Mr. Sieve in the net and we'll still win. GO JETS GO! GO JETS GO!
  9. Is this true? Seems like 9/11 alone makes this hard to believe.
  10. I don't know if they'll have to outright release any more. Free agency is going to take care of some of the overpriced contracts such as Sam Hurl.
  11. The main issue is that he is incredibly defensive and that when there is an issue that cannot be described accurately by currently available metrics, he writes it off as unimportant. Such as timeliness of saves. Notice he has no scientific or statistical argument against this... he presents three anecdotal points. It's always the same with him. He needs to see the numbers, until the numbers aren't available... then anecdotes become evidence. Advanced stats are great, they provide a deeper understanding of the game than traditional stats. But they are not perfect. There are flaws. They can't describe the game perfectly. But Garret won't allow that. He will say "sure, they aren't perfect" but then if someone tries to point out what the stats may be missing, his answer is always the same - "Nuh uh. Here's why. <insert rhetoric>"
  12. They are both serious issues deserving of concern. I don't think that imagining all Muslims or refugees as pure-hearted angels is any more helpful than imagining they are all terrorists. The fact is that many Muslims share similar viewpoints to the so-called "alt-right", except you can replace the hatred of Muslims with the hatred of white people. One thing I know is that forcing people to be politically correct only changes what they say, not how they feel. Shutting down conversation is not the answer and only serves to further ostracize people, driving them to extreme acts of violence or voting for Trump.
  13. After the combine. Usually comes out mid- to late-April.
  14. "We"? You're not judging Muslims. You're judging us. Get off your high horse. If we've learned anything from the past year, it's that you can't dispel people's fear of the unknown by demanding that they don't talk about it.
  15. He is wildly emotional and immature, especially when it comes to the Jets. He is one of the top analytics minds out there but even when all these guys were getting hired up by NHL teams, no one would touch him. You can see why from his feed. He conducts himself like a teenage message board user. He is incredibly defensive and that's a really bad thing for someone who is supposed to be impartial and scientific.
  16. Garret Hohl is a mess. I wouldn't listen to anything he says.
  17. You said there was no one. It's not TUP's fault you believe you can arbitrarily decide who is credible and who isn't. To think that there is "no one" in Canada who wants Sharia law is just willfully ignorant. That's like saying there are no racists in Canada.
  18. Still better than Dou. Brown
  19. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! NO GOD NO!!!
  20. Actually it says Boateng is #2 but whatever it doesn't matter. Senior is an OL and always has been.
  21. No but I also can't think of any that are remotely comparable to the niqab. Unless you think women wearing long skirts is the same thing.
  22. He was on waivers in October and went unclaimed. At the time the Habs said there was no room for him because they wanted to keep Zach Redmond around...
  23. I think you're missing the point. No one is saying that other religions don't oppress women. If your argument is "other religions oppress women so that makes it okay for Muslims to do it", then I don't see how that's any better. Similarly if your argument is that we have to deal with every other religion's treatment of women before we can address Muslims treatment of women then that doesn't really make any sense either. And finally, it's a pretty big stretch to say that Hutterite women wearing long skirts is the same or even close to the same as Muslims forcing women to cover their faces and bodies fully in a black veil.
