Burris didn't have multiple shoulder injuries. Also, we did try to get Burris. Of course he didn't. He is the most durable quarterback perhaps ever to play in the CFL. Hey we could have used a guy like that. And yes we tried to get Burris. Until he got offered more money, then we gave up. Great. Now Ottawa won as many games this year as we have the last 2 combined but I'm sure glad the Bombers saved that money on Burris. Really helps me sleep at night. I agree about Burris. He was my first pick at the time too. Not sure his situation is comparable to Ray though, which was the point being made in response to your "learning from our mistakes" comment.

Dallas & Nashville are the only two "non-traditional" markets Bettman moved into that have seen success. Arizona, Atlanta, & on a lesser scale Carolina, have been train wrecks. Columbus has been ok, but are still in the bottom third in attendance. Colorado & Minnesota have been successful, although even Colorado's attendance has been down lately.

He's wrong to think this isn't a story, but I get why he'd try to play it down. IMO it's more of a funny/embarassing story than anything of real importance though.

With Collaros, Hamilton is the best in the East by far. I'd put Ottawa 2nd though.

The under 23 team at the World Cup will be made of Canadian & US players. So Connor McDavid, for example, can't play for team Canada. In the Olympics, there are a few countries with loose Nationality restrictions that let Canadians playing in their national leagues play for the national team. This way Gordie Johnson from Moose Jaw can be German for a few weeks every four years.
