  1. Vega is solid and IMO we missed him last year. Good move and it does speak well that he chose to come back here ...
  2. Eagle Keys is dead but he's still better than Kelly Brancato is going to Ottawa
  3. Rod Rust ... to complete that unfulfilled 2005 campaign when he mysteriously disappeared and then turned up as the DC for the Renegades in 2006 before they folded! He was born in 1928 so he's a young 85. Just think of the experience this man has! He's been coaching since 1960! Who's with me, let's get on this bandwagon ...
  4. What is it about the Bombers always getting the table scraps from other teams? Guess we'll see how this works out but on the other site Marshall was mentioned as being in the mix as well ... ARGGHHHH!
  5. Anyone standing next to Kelly on the sideline tends to look that way
  6. I hope they are not thinking about sticking with Creehan!
  7. That's what I was thinking, not too depressed about not getting this "name" signed here ...
  8. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/cfl/stampeders-lose-kevin-glenn-jmicheal-deane-and-eric-fraser-to-redblacks-236119961.html Not sure he was as happy as you may think Iso. I'm sure he realizes the "insurance policy" he had in Glenn and now that won't be there ...
  9. Toronto lost some good players, the Stamps lost what virtually was their starting QB of record the last two seasons, Sask lost two NI Dlinemen, BC lost a future backup? We didn't really loose as much as we could have. What do you think?
  10. see now you see the true genius of Joe Mack - he knew all along how painful it would be to lose a good NI and so ensured that we had none that anyone would want. Brilliant! There has to be some explanation for it
  11. I'm wondering if the Bombers could give some guys to the REDBLACKS if they don't get selected?
  12. Just thought the other day ... - Yes we were sucking and lost 15 games in the regular season. - Yes we don't have the depth or talent we should have. - And ... yes we had some terrible QB play at times ... BUT ... How much was our offence, our team in effect, handcuffed with that horrible scheme instituted in 2012? Max Hall showed some spurts with a revamped and closer to CFL scheme (even though it was impossible to change everything during the season) and no I'm not saying he should be the starter, but still, I think it's a legit question. How bad did Crowton's playbook screw our team. Were we truely as bad as our record? Lousy coaching and a stand pat GM played a big part too obviously. I still ask though, are/were we as untalented as our record suggested? It will be interesting to see how some of these guys respond to a real CFL playbook from day one. It will also be interesting to see who we keep to implement that.
  13. I'd give it a few more moves before you say he's got a very good grasp on things. Not saying he doesn't, but let's see how things shake out a bit, eh? He is saying all the right things. I'd say we'll know by July or August 2014 if he's got a pretty good grasp on things actually, but I like him and what he's doing so far.
  14. It's getting interesting for sure, a week ago I would have guaranteed that Khari would be our OC ...
  15. Cortez and Stubler would be an interesting tandem, loads of experience for Oshea and company ...
