Wiecek absolutely has a point, but the problem is he doesn't help his cause by being overly negative most of the time. He goes too far the other way. What made Tait excellent at the FreeP is that he was as close to "down the middle" as you can get. Wiecek always skews negative with his tone. As far as calling out Chipman and then receiving punishment, I think there's a sort of "game" that has to be played there. You have to know, if you write some scandalous piece about MC, it's gonna haunt you. There has to be a way to say something about what you heard, without necessarily taking the guy to task. I mean, what exactly are you hoping to gain by trashing one of the most popular people in Winnipeg??

You know that I want to agree with you, but I really think Frito might be done. That guy is barely hanging on...duct tape and chewing gum as they say...

Durant might be better than Nichols but I don't 100% trust him to stay healthy after the last few years. I think Nichols will return and QB won't be an issue this year...

I was totally going to say that it's because we have less work that needs to be done...

I will never forget Training Camp 2 years ago, at the soccer complex, and how much Moe got involved with the kids after that days session. Guys coulda gone home, or at least back to the stadium, but he stayed around taking pictures and talking to kids... Explaining what his job (Safety at the time) was. Really stood out to me.

They're being patient with PoolParty. No need to rush him. It's worked out really well with Dr Drai so far...

It's a low end draft year...no real high end guy like McJesus or Crosby. Patrick is/was consensus #1 guy, but it's a low bar this year...

Nobody in the league is getting that much guaranteed money.... People really need to step back from this mentality that the asking price was all guaranteed money. It's top end, with every bonus met...

World Juniors is ALWAYS a fun tourney to watch. Hockey for the love of country and the game itself. I know less than nothing about the rosters, but I'll be wearing the Team Canada jersey on Boxing Day ready to cheer loud...

And we might not have "developed" KJ, but he was a 3rd stringer with BC when we brought him in....gotta get some credit for that.

Everything everyone is saying about the D in that game is true, but also doesn't take away from the fact that Nichols and the offense stunk in the second half.

Well... He did in the first half anyhow...... About that second half?

If I'm not mistaken, he was the one who had a rep of being lazy throughout college.....might be a red flag there....
