I love me some Petey, but it's insane to think he was going to replace anyone on our roster, with the way it was built. There were limited touches anyhow, because this offense will always work through Andrew Harris as long as he's healthy and playing. But there's no way you take out Demski or Woogie for Petey...and I say that as a big fan of his.

Can't even describe how badly I want there to be a fully normal training camp this year to talk about..........man oh man.

that's a harsher spin than necessary......the alternate title of the song is "Time Of My Life" and is the song played at virtually every HS Grad in 1998....along with the final episode of Seinfeld. It's meant as a wistful "I had a great time..." song.......not a "Good Riddance" song. Look, what Bell did is awful, and there's no way around that. But the song choice is being spun the wrong way.

/Demski with Harris in the backfield...

Interesting bit in Mike McIntyre's article about the TSN Radio shutdown: https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/bells-abrupt-shutdown-of-1290-a-disgrace-573762452.html?fbclid=IwAR13UobdQ5rteNfnpdTI_LaxCuI4Vqb7mm5q_YY42v0ZTM-nAqYpOjjCOD0 "Nobody on the ground saw this coming. In fact, only a couple hours earlier, TSN 1290 employees got an email from their boss touting strong recent streaming numbers. As you likely know, the station bailed on the final year of its 10-year partnership with the True North Sports & Entertainment for exclusive broadcasting rights to the Jets, citing massive financial losses." Very interesting that they didn't even complete their initial 10 year agreement...never mind bidding on a new rights agreement. Yikes.

I'm convinced that by the end of March, we're going to see skyrocketing numbers because of the UK variant. Not sure about Manitoba, but the larger provinces for sure...AB, I think we're right ******...

I'm 100% with you on the Rempel situation. I'm super freaked out about it because it looks SO BAD on us if we disrespected a veteran player like that. It's a reputation thing that the club worked so hard to fix, and would be really easy to botch again. I really hope the situation isn't as reported...

Reading Friedman's 31 Thoughts, it sounds like Laine was dogging it on a play that led to a goal, and when the assistant coach went to talk to him about it, they had an incident.....and that led to the benching.

damn, we're going to miss Exume on Teams.....that's a shame.

now lock it.

You have no idea how often @17to85and I reference this........... it is more accurate than you can possibly imagine. Whichever Simpsons writer wrote this bit knew what he was talking about...

there is absolutely nothing worse than a post-game call in show. So many lunatics who think they know what they're talking about. Absolutely painful. When Bob Irving goes to the phone lines after a Bombers game, that's my cue to shut it off. Love interviews with players and coaches after a win, but the idiots on the phone are absolutely the worst.

what's Alex McCallister's story? Did he go back to the States after a short stint with us? That's a guy I wouldn't mind seeing back in camp...
-
if Nichols stays healthy behind a make-shift OL, Petermann will get lots of touches. They don't have a RB nearly the quality of Andrew Harris to eat up a lot of the touches...

really feel like we need to drop this and move on. We've had this exact argument probably 3 times over the last year.....it's over, we won, move on.

So I'm curious what the receiving corps looks like if Mitchell is healthy and good to go. Seems like Lawler and Bailey fighting for one spot, right? Adams-Mitchell-Lawler/Bailey-Demski-Woogie?

You don't give a ****... Especially about an NFL game. You just don't see women as capable of being in a traditionally male role. That's all I'm getting from your posts...
-
that's really really strange that they wouldn't have had a discussion with the guy. That's not like The Trinity....

I think this is more about Bell finding a way to cut costs. Moving to a nearly entirely syndicated format with no real costs other than the minimal cost of programming is a way for them to save money regardless of ratings. They've done "okay" with the comedy format in other markets, which is why they're doing this again. It's an AM station...not exactly a big driver of audience, so it's all about cutting costs everywhere possible.

shame to lose Remps, as he was the league's absolute best snapper, but he was the league's oldest player, so time to move on I suppose. Nice to have a local guy for sure...

"The below data is for the 12+ demographic, with the Spring 2019 ratings in parentheses for comparison." == giant poop emoji. Your data is garbage and you should feel bad for posting it. Unless the powers that be intentionally didn't outbid CJOB because they knew this was coming....which is a possibility.

^^^ don't post **** like that, with absolutely no context to it.......ffs. Those numbers are something the generic, all ages, MW 2+ bullshit that really mean nothing. TSN Radio cared about M25-54, and in that demo they did well enough. Much higher up on the list... Further...the Afternoon Drive with Hus was consistently one of the top shows in the whole city every book. Morning Show was fairly highly rated, too, WITHIN THE DEMO THEY WERE TRYING TO REACH.....

I just couldn't even bring myself to respond to that post, but I'm sure glad that some found a way. Sigh. We're never going to move forward as a society as long as people still use the phrase "virtue signaling" every time they see an example of equality. Truly disgusting that in this day and age people still think like that.

It's cases like this where I need a love emoji/reaction thing for this post.... this is nothing but great news.
