I'm not sure if @rileymarra has any insight or is able to say anything, but I'm curious.... is the general feeling that there NEEDS to be a big SoMed push to sell tickets?

Jeff makes a good point, and I honestly wouldn't know if there's anything going on outside of Twitter. I check FB a little bit, am not ever on Insta (and have never once intentionally watched a "Reel") and I don't even really know what TikTok is.......so maybe there's stuff going on that I have no clue about......? ****** if I know, anyhow...

am I crazy or has our social media team not been the envy of the league for at least the last few years.....? It seems odd to hear that our social media team isn't doing enough....I'm not disagreeing, but I could have sworn we were the ones that everyone was trying to be like.

Maybe....but if we're actually at 31k+, maybe it IS working as a war cry of sorts? I mean, 2300 shy of a sellout in that barn is pretty damn good.... it's going to be raucous in there.

See, I dunno...I absolutely loved it. I consider myself proud to be a true, "hardened" Manitoban. I'm proud of that weather and that makes me EXCITED to get together with 30+k friends and scream and yell and drink some Haze Bombs and watch Rourke get ******* crippled (not really) on Sunday afternoon. I get that it's maybe not helping the passive fans who want Sunny and +20, but **** it, I loved that clip.... it was like a rallying cry.

It's a little bit too complicated for me to go that route yet. The thing I love most about my Roku TV is all the apps on the desktop that are easy to access. Once I can access my life sports right from the desktop of my TV with one click, then I'll be ready to go that route. But not until it's that easy. I live in a tiny town that happens to have the 2nd fastest internet in North America (a ridiculous, yet true, stat....crazy fibre optic ****) so I'll be ready when the tech is ready.

a combo of CBC and TSN (or Sportsnet?? or all 3??) would be pretty neat. But Streaming is really the elephant in the room. We talk about various TV networks..... but how much does streaming play into all of this? I think once streaming of live sports becomes more accessible (it's already getting there in the US.....Canada won't be far behind) it's going to really change the game. Just determining how many eyeballs were on a given game is going to be really difficult, I think...... though I'm sure there's monitoring tech that I'm not even aware of....... but it changes how you go about approaching advertisers. And WHICH advertisers.....if you'll pardon the pun, it's just a whole new ball game.
