I think it's abundantly clear after the past few years that Zach collaros isn't the reason the drought ended. Thank Andrew Harris, thank the defense.

Came up short... yeah best reason why people look down on Glenn... his physical stature. He was a good solid player. The OG game manager.

I mean if a starter goes down i don't doubt that oshea has complete faith in his backups.... problem comes in when you start to figure out that "goes down" means something different to oshea than you or I. For oshea it's something like "is he breathing? Then he can play"

Kelly redid his contract a bit though right? And now is less than Zach. Or am I crazy?

But nothing says what the plan is for the guy... or the position in general. You're just letting your biases get in the way. They sign Wilson now because who else is going to sign him? And he knows it. So for him he gets a contract now rather than being left holding the bag waiting for his phone to ring. Honestly I fully expect the plan at lb is have some younger guys around and see what happens. With Wilson and Jones you got some guys with some experience and if you jabe some young depth it's the ideal situation.

Like I said, easy signings. And there's nothing wrong with that. Again, if Wilson somehow manages to stay healthy he's a great guy to have on the roster. You just have this "it's all awful unless they sign the young physical specimens I like" mentality.

Wilson when healthy is a good player. Of course he's rarely healthy. I don't mind bringing him back but you need a body behind him for when the inevitable injury happens. Gauthier is a teams contributer, you still need those guys. Orrrrrrrrrrr they're just easy signings

No one is talking about cutting Lawler, it's a hypothetical discussion about picking between Lawler or Schoen.

The only eye roll is for a guy like you to think that the only valid defense is one built around pressure. Now full disclosure I prefer that style too... but I'm not so pig heatedly stubborn as to ignore that the way this defense played was different but still highly effective. To suggest it wasn't is pure pants on head ********.

Is it wrong though? Guy hasn't been as consistent as he was when he set the bar... there can be a variety of reasons for that but facts are he hasn't given the level you expect game in and game out since his return. Does it mean he's washed up? He'll no, just that at this point he isn't the player he was. He may be again, or he may not be.

In a heart beat. Lawler has not been the same guy that set the bar a few years ago.

All this stuff is just excuses... fact is they opted to play an injured player rather than give a healthy player the chance. They need to own that decision as a coaching staff.

As far as onfield reasons, collaros lost them that game. Wilson couldn't have done any worse but at least you're giving the team a chance.

Realistically the worst thing a backup qb is going to do is throw a bunch of interceptions... but maybe he has enough of a spark he makes a couple plays and avoids those turnovers.... collaros wasn't exactly having a strong game before he got hurt and honestly what's the best you can expect from collaros with a sliced open, stitched up frozen index finger on his throwing hand? Dude was too injured to play and should have been sat down. Watching him throw on the sidelines immediately after he came back out there is no way he should have been put back in. Wilson may not have won the game... but at least he could still throw.

Is the secondary not part of the D?

And yet our D was ******* good all season long... there's more than one way to build a good defense. Quite frankly the problems or this team is that for allllllll the money they spend on O it was **** for most of the season. Point fingers there not the D because the D was the only reason last years team did anything.

The offense has been **** the past 3 grey cups. But big changes to the offense regardless this offseason so see what happens.

Parker would be a nice piece to slot in should they lose Ford.

Because age and cost is going to force the GMs hand. I mean it's unheard of the amount of continuity this team has already had since 2019... now that the shine has worn off somewhat changes are inevitable.
