  1. they went to Doege pretty quick because Sunseri was sucking the hind ***, and it turns out that Doege was even worse and it was a huge mistake on their part. Brohm actually played decently in his relief action and needs to be given reps because if Willy goes down he's the next one in. I'd rather do one guy right than half ass it with 2 guys. Marve is a rookie to the CFL there is nothing wrong with him sitting as a backup without playing this season. He showed he was worth keeping around in preseason, let him get over ripe before we throw him to the wolves. Have we learned nothing the last 20 years?
  2. Here is the difference between Bomber fans blaming MB and rider fans blaming Cortez... Cortez has been one of the best OCs in the CFL for years and years and years while MB has peaked at average and shown for years that the best he can do is average. He has had bland and dull offenses every where he's gone and they've done just enough to not be a total embarassment at best. Cortez on the other hand has had CFL leading offenses many times on many different teams. One guy has a stellar resume and the other is the guy you hire when you have no other choices.
  3. It's not size, it's talent. Wild is not your prototypical MLB but he is playing damned well despite it. Turner isn't a behemoth at DL and he's fine. The guys we are using just aren't good enough. Anderson was playing well at DT but they lost him to injury and the replacements haven't been up to par.
  4. The depth chart exists for a reason. Brohm as the backup needs every rep that Willy doesn't get. #3 won't get those reps until someone else is hurt, just the way it is. I know everyone is hanging off his nuts but Marve won't play and shouldn't play because the staff have determined that Brohm is the guy behind Willy
  5. I would take one. They haven't won in Edmonton since 2006 and haven't won in Calgary since 2002. I am just sick and tired of seeing this team come to Alberta when I can actually watch them live and then seeing them get their asses kicked.
  6. The fact that they've got 14 OL kicking around and can't find 5 worth a damn is a pretty big problem.
  7. If we have been through 14 linemen and still cannot find 5 decent starters, someone's head should be on the block. It seems that every O-lineman we start is worse than the one he replaced. How bad must Hinze and Swystun be if they cannot crack this lineup? Goossen played a bit yesterday and wasn't noticeably bad, so maybe his time is done. The Roman Legions would execute every 10th soldier after a bad loss, so maybe its time to do that here. False, I kept asking who #61 was yesterday cause I kept seeing him getting overwhelmed.
  8. You know everyone is on Etchevary but between he and Bellefeuille he's been the more reliable of the two and the quicker to make adjustments. Bellefeuille is still the same guy that nearly ended Anthony Calvillos career about 7 years before it actually ended. Guy is pathetically average and not very creative at all. I'd upgrade him before anyone else.
  9. The GM hires his scouting staff, if they fail it's on the GM. Walters needs to pick up his game in big way.
  10. making things worse, is that his reaction is to step up into the pocket... except there's at least one OL being pushed straight backwards and there's no pocket to step into. The kid needs a break for his physical and mental health. Brohm hasn't had the crap beat out of him for the last 3 months so he's still willing to take the hit to make a play.
  11. The only good news is that I won't be able to make it to the game in Calgary. That one ain't going to be pretty because sad as it is they generally tend to do better in Edmonton than Calgary.
  12. MOS is absolutely safe. People should've known better than to expect ZERO mistakes from a rookie HC. He gets the benefit of the doubt this year. I actually think MOS has learned a lot this year. Yeah the back to back ass kickings really sting but the fact that he seems to have learned his lesson about just leaving the roster as status quo is encouraging. Just happens that he's dealing with a lot of **** on the roster right now. The American OL are just flat out embarassing right now and having Neufeld who Walters clearly pinned a lot of hope on injured doesn't help. Then having the DL perform so poorly ain't doing anyone any favours. Anderson getting hurt was bad luck and Vega having such a poor year is something no one could have seen coming. There are a lot of areas that need some help badly before we really start pointing too many fingers at O'Shea. For my money Walters is on much more of a hotseat than O'Shea. He needs to knock it out of the park in his off season recruiting.
  13. Yeah, felt bad for Noeller. I don't know if you were with him or not. In 1995,I went to the LD Sunday game in regina where the Bombers lost something like 63-21. Sitting in Mosaic Stadium watching Roy Dewalt & the rest of the team being given the gears by all the Rider turds in the stands was no fun. oh yeah we were sitting side by side trying to resist the urge to pitch ***** esk fans over the railing.
  14. yeah they did make some good adjustments, but still, the start of the game he was getting schooled big time. Both coordinators had their lunch money stolen by the esks coaching staff. The DL and OL were tied for least effective unit in the game yesterday. Just embarassing.
  15. you know as much as people like to talk about Goosen being a good kid and all that, he was getting worked over badly all game long in Edmonton too.
  16. Explaining that the team has shitty depth and can't handle injuries is not making excuses, it's looking at a roster and recognizing that the depth isn't there. We all talked about that in the offseason for christs sake! This is playing out pretty much as we knew it would. Etch is crazy and is hit or miss, Bellefeuille is average at best and the team couldn't get through any injury troubles because the depth, especially on OL and at NI positions isn't there.
  17. Etch D needs pressure on the qb, Reilly was basically untouched all game. I only remember the Edmonton qbs getting hit like 3 times all game and that's embarassing when you consider how many plays they ran. That's not a good OL in Edmonton but they just stuffed the DL like it wasn't there. Throw in some shitty timing on blitzes and you see the result.
  18. Just imagine getting to see that live! Love investing the time to drive up to Edmonton to watch them **** their pants.
  19. In garbage time. The entire 2nd half. He still looked good, was throwing the ball quickly and for the most part on target. Willy had a real bad problem with bracing for a hit rather than throwing quickly lately, he's shell shocked, for his own good he needs a break.
  20. No question 2012 was more depressing. There was that feeling that Macks time was coming and we would blow **** up yet again and hope we hired someone better. You can't just pull the plug on that kind of talent recruiter willy nilly. At least this year we got a qb and I guy I really do like at head coach so there's that. Just a shame the talent level on this team is so poor.
  21. Looked like a fairly normal warmup to me I think you're really reaching for things to ***** about here, not like there's a lack of things.
  22. Yeah Noeller and I have been talking about that all summer, Willy ain't right, the accuracy just disappeared on him. The offseason is going to hit and we're going to get a long list of the things Willy has been playing through. Guy is beat up some kind of bad and it's not getting better. He is at the point where he doesn't trust his protection anymore either. Play Brohm, he looked decent for a backup, was throwing the ball quickly at least rather than just bracing for the hit.
  23. The esks absolutely embarassed the Etch D, they had a plan to get 7, 7 or 9 yards every first down and that was a huge problem in the game, but number 2 on my problems defensively list is the fact that the only time they could get pressure is when they sent 8 or 9 guys. The defensive line was just completely neutralized by a pretty shitty edmonton OL. Need to improve that area in the offseason big time so they can disrupt things without having to completely sell out on a blitz. Offensively the OL just got completely worked. They might as well have turned around pre-snap because that would have given them an advantage in chasing after the DL who blow by them. Bellefeuille I felt got really bland with his play calling as well and obviously hates Paris Cotton because he didn't give the guy a chance to succeed at all. He had like 2 or 3 carries in the first half, one was one of those stupid wide runs that the Bombers never seem to block properly on and the 2nd was completely blown by the OL getting worked.
  24. you can like a coach without blindly endorsing his every move. As long as the good outweighs the bad.
  25. well this is a tough call. Kelly pulls his disappearing act a lot, but man Bryant and Willy have no chemistry at all and every time they've tried to go deep to Bryant the ball has been about 10 yards away from him.
