The problem is that too many fans have anger issues and they just expect everyone else to be as angry as they are. They want a head coach ranting and raving about how angry he is, they want Bob Irving to be unloading on the coaches and players for playing to poorly, they want everyone to feel like they do. They don't want the head coach to be calm and give non answers, they don't want Bob Irving to let the coach be calm. Look at how this place is immediately after a loss, they want everyone in the media and with the team to react like that.

Well it was Shell that replaced him in game so I don't see that changing really. Only other possible option to me is having someone like Washington move up and let someone else cover Washingtons spot, but probably easiest to just have Shell take Randles spot.

I'm just scared he will be the HC. But nothing would surprise me they way the Bombers are run. If they want to make a current coordinator with head coaching experience the replacement for O'Shea why in gods name would it be the guy running the weakest part of the team and not Ritchie Hall who has actually got his charges to improve as the year has gone on?

Marcel Bellefeuille - When does he get axed
17to85 replied to Brandon's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Listen it's going to take some time, Bellefool got a reprieve by having Drew Willy carry the offense to some decent performances early this year and now that he's hurt Bellefool can hide behind the "well the backups just suck" shield. It won't last forever but it does extend his life here. Just be patient and he will use all that rope he's been given to hang himself. -
SO everyone said the guy should be fired but now we ***** about it happening because we wanted Bellefool fired first? Come on guys. Yeah we need to change the offensive coordinator, that display on Sunday was embarrassing, but one step at a time. People said they'd never fire Tracey because he's buddies with O'Shea, but I think it clearly shows that the team knows when there's a problem and will make changes. Bellefool was always going to be the last coordinator fired because the head coach has the least familiarity with the offense but do we really think that they go into their meetings thinking everything is just fine with the O? It might take until the offseason for it to happen but I am confident in saying that Bellefool will not be the offensive coordinator here next season.

Bombers Blown Out by 0 & 9 Team ... Oh well, yawn
17to85 replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yeah the D was frustrated because they got no help. Bellefool called a game like he was afraid. Wasn't until things were out of hand he let Brohm even try a throw longer than 3yards. Guy might be a poor qb but when you coach like he's a poor qb you just make it easier to defend and suck the life out of your own team -
60% of Sask's plays were running on a windy day... MB still called 60% pass - blame OL all you want, change personnel every year... its his playbook They tried to establish the run game early and it was stuffed. Need some blocking to run the ball

There is not one NI on this team I wouldn't cut if that's what it took to get Muamba here. Hell there ain't many imports I'd want here ahead of Muamba. You have 1 job Walters, get it done.

bad day to be a Tyler

Do you think he'd learn more standing behind centre running for his life or watching from the sidelines? Not like this is a raw rookie here who just needs game reps, he's had game reps with Edmonton quite a bit this year. He needs to learn the playbook and the offence and he will do that better in the film room and on the sidelines than playing in the game this week.Quarterbacks running for their lives isn't going to be unique to this weekend! No but when you're trying to get a guys understanding of an offense up to par it's better for him to not have to worry about that kind of thing. He's been around the CFL long enough and played enough he knows what game speed is, he needs time to mentally get the game plan in his head, that is better served watching this week than playing. People don't like Brohm that's fine, but let's not say stupid stuff like Nichols should start after only being here for a couple days. Even a prime Ricky Ray wouldn't start on only a couple days.

Week 11 - Tor.@Ham - Edm.@Cal. Monday Sept. 7
17to85 replied to Mr Dee's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
a night where 114 yards and 2 ints wasn't the worst quarterbacking on the field.... that's like watching Marve last game but the other qb be worse! how is that possible? -

Given that he's a pretty terrible back trying to run through traffic I'm going to guess his blocking isn't anything to write home about. He's a small quick back, anything physical isn't his forte. Give him space and let him run that's really all you can expect 5'10"..201 pounds isnt really small for a back Well he plays small then I just assumed he had the size to match that.

What do you honestly expect from him though? Lots of sacks and tackles for a loss? Seems to me he's sort of taking the role of big strong guy trying to make room for others in the defence this year. That's not a position that generally gets yourself covered in glory.

No, no you don't. The Bombers wouldn't have the rights to Mulumba or Bilukidi if that were the case. I think this is the 2nd time in the last couple weeks that Kpt Krunch has made this assertion. So I will confirm your post above. CFL TEAMS HOLD THE RIGHTS OF ALL DRAFT PICKS INDEFINITELY THAT DON'T SIGN WITH THEM. He was corrected last time as well. He never lets little things like facts get in the way of his ranting.

The only time he's ever started a game he was 14/23 for 194 yards no tds and no ints.... Let's see what he can do before we go completely doom and gloom. Those numbers aren't horrible, perhaps the guy just sucks coming off the bench into shitty games?Yeah resting on the bench tends to affect a QBs aim.Maybe resting ,caused his eyes to stray to the turf hence his ground balls. How many turf skips we gonna get now? 90% of the game is half mental.

Get a grip on reality. In the first blowout vs TiCats Drew Willy was a whopping 3 of 6 for 48 yards and zero TDs. In the next game vs Esks Willy was a masterful 7-17 for 81 yards. Next blowout vs TiCats Willy was 16-27 for 171 yards with one TD and one INT for a pick 6. As Winnipeg's starter Willy produced a total of 8 TDs in 7 games, before his injury. He had virtually the same QB passer rating as rookie Rakeem Cato, who, at that point, had played one less game. Winnipeg's O production has been mostly putrid, with the occasional big-play exception, regardless of who is in at QB since around the the halfway point of last year. Injured. Injured. Injured. Yeah, Doublezero, you really need to check the facts before you post. He got injured in each of those outings like Goalie said. You act like he threw for 48 yards in 4 quarters. And btw, that 171 yards was 2 quarters before he wrecked his knee. So he was on his way to 300. Do you even watch the games? Plus the game in Edmonton was in a heavy rainfall which makes the passing game dicey anyway.

Still better than Brohm and Marve.

Except that the defence has come along nicely this season. They still have a weakness on the defensive line but they're getting better and have been solid the last few games.

A. Kelly helped us win the First game vs Toronto with 2 TDs I don;t think another Bomber REC had 2 TDs in a game all last year, he also helped us win vs HAM with a critical catch on the winning drive and a very strong game so in our first 3 games he was important in 2 wins, he also has another very good game in another win ( don't remember the details ) A. Kelly also had more TDs than Denmark (4) Moore (0) and Byrant (0) combined with 6 I know that isn't many but it was tops on the team last year. And I am not saying he was great just saying he was better than you are giving him credit for...And I have no problem that he is gone because I realize his problem was a lack of speed and he was too light and got pushed around... Adams is a much better Receiver yes I agree with that but Kelly helped us last year and we miss having a big REC this year. J. Gordon is garbage ( at least so far ) and Veltung is a good returner and fillin but he is not a top REC... So again until you have someone better you shouldn't just cut someone because they dared to speak back to the coaches.... So Walters has failed to find a big target the Bombers said they wanted to find, however I am not sure I trust that Marcel B. would know a good rec vs bad based on his opinion of Brohm being a CFL QB... That was always the thing about Kelly though. He'd make a few big plays but the rest of the time he was invisible. He caught some big passes but the guy did a disappearing act too often. He might have had more touchdowns, but Moore and Denmark rarely go into their complete disappearances. It's not his lack of speed that kept Kelly out, it's his lack of ability to make a consistent impact on a game. A guy who pops up every few games for a big catch or two and then does nothing isn't helping you win games. He's helping you win the games were he makes a big catch or two. only if you only want to win a game every couple months.

Not the answer to anything long term, but a better option than Brohm or Marve right now and a 7th round pick might as well be free. Good trade. Shame it had to come to that though.

When do we go to Davis or Russell as starting QB?
17to85 replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Hopefully never this season. Not really interested in ruining every qb prospect we have by throwing them into this shiticane too early.
