Can be said about any qb and it's a big Lapo problem. Nichols did well for us, I am not sure he's worth paying big big money too though and there were some issues in the west semi final. People often get too blackand white in their thinking about this team. Lots of shades of grey in there.

3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea

Ok then. Qbs don't need healthy shoulders to throw the ball. TIL -
A healthy Durant is a better quarterback than either Nichols or Glenn though... only question is, can Durant stay healthy anymore? I think all this arguing is a moo point though, I can't see anyone else in the league valuing Nichols more than the Bombers and why would Nichols himself be in a rush to leave a place where he got an opportunity and had success with it? They'll negotiate and come to a deal that both sides hate but ultimately works for them.

They gotta have something, one thing Netflix does have is exact data about how many people watch each thing in their catalogue so they can tell if things they make are hits or not.

That's what happens when the CFLPA is toothless. They don't want to play ball there's only about a million players down south who could come up and take their jobs and would be happy just to get the chance to do it.

WB is just doing the typical Hollywood thing. Super hero movies are big! Super hero team up movies are even bigger! There's so much money in cross overs and tie ins! MAKE ALL OF THAT! It's a classic case of trying to throw all the hot trends into a movie and expecting it to be good. If they simply focused on making good movies and not trying to hit all the trends they'd be a lot further ahead. Marvel didn't get to just make the avengers, they got to make the avengers by making Iron Man a good movie, and then following that up with another good stand alone movie and once they realized they could make money on these movies they had a plan to bring it all together.

You can also throw names like Sears and Washington and Wild in there too. I get that people want to pretend that Joe Mack was the worst person in the world and he did make mistakes, but when it came to recruiting players from the states he was damned good, but he relied on that entirely and didn't make good coaching choices so the whole thing didn't work. -

American talent, yeah they had a lot of that. Canadians and quarterbacks though not so much. Walters wishes he could bring in Americans like Joe Mack did. -

what you don't think Mack brought in a pile of american talent for this team? He did that aspect of the job better than Walters has. -
3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea

He was on three teams but his shoulder was still buggered from his time in Winnipeg, how is this hard to grasp? Injuries shortened his career, not the first player it happened to and certainly won't be the last. -
But hey if you're going to lose your starting qb this is probably the offseason to do it in, could be lots of guys who can fill in available. Maybe Durant, Glenn is an option, Maybe pry Franklin out of Edmonton with a good offer, Would a guy trust Travis Lulay in the interm if you can get him free? I dunno seems like the position is in a much stronger place league wide than it has been in quite some time.

That is so ****** up. No one in their right mind is going to a take a job where you don't actually get to do your job. -

It's the being fat that was unintentional -
what players want and what players get usually winds up being wildly different. I'd be tempted to play some hardball and say "we're not paying you more than BLM cause you ain't no BLM, what are you going to do? Go play in the Montreal gong show?"

Admit it, you just want the chicks in the bikinis running in slow motion.

3-Year Contract Extensions For Walters and OShea

Bullshit, the reason Khari was done is because the terrible OL he played behind got him taking so many hits his shoulder was messed up. -
but with only 3 downs in the CFL getting some field position out of a kick return can have a huge impact because it gives an offense, or even defense some breathing room. It's no secret that special teams are a much bigger part of the game in the CFL than they are in the NFL and the number of downs is a big part of that I believe so if you take away on aspect with which a team can get yards (taking away the no yards penalty) you're just going to make out game worse.
-
Walters has said plenty of times that he believes in taking OL early in the draft so it's not like he totally subscribes to the BPA philosophy.
-
I don't even have anxiety about signing draft picks because the Bombers GM isn't a **** trying to prove to everyone that he's the smartest man alive. He doesn't engage in **** waving contests with players or agents just to prove a point. He just works to get a deal done.

Have you been good? Maybe the jolly fat man will put a contract extension under the tree for us Bomber fans. Wait... Is Wade Miller jolly?
-
and how much time do those 4 penalties add to the game? half a minute? They gotta set the ball after a kick regardless, all that gets added in terms of time is the time for the official to turn on his mic and call the penalty so it's really insignificant. All the time wasted on frivolous challenges is a bigger concern than penalties on a return.

even if that was true, manslaughter is probably the correct charge since intent comes into it. I mean they might be able to pin murder on the guy, but manslaughter is a charge that is much more likely to stick. -
yeah but who is talking about just TDs? There might be a better way to do it, but I am telling you right now that fair catch isn't a better way. How about we actually work on improving the quality of the officials? Then you don't have to worry as much about the inconsistencies. And I don't see what the problem is with having too many penalties called... if there's a penalty throw the flag. Guys can stop taking penalties if there's too many flags. What we need to do is work on getting the calls consistent and a lot of that comes from clearly defining things for the officials and making it as black and white as possible and get rid of a lot of the challenge bullshit which clouds the matter and brings in more elements of subjectivity.
