  1. I can not recall where I read it, but reportedly Harris wants to be here full time, I suppose a lot will depend on how BC uses him this year. Last year he was none too happy with how the offense was run. I heard he has a gf/wife and kid in New Bothwell (small town near Steinbach) and he spends his off-seasons there?
  2. and then he can work in the off-season at the Ugandan consulate.
  3. I've contributed a lot to this thread, Mike, including posting a link to an article in the Sun that I disagreed with, but thought it relevant. Yeah I've added some offensive humour, but it's only in response to the extremely offensive bleeding heart nonsense I've seen posted here (drunk driving - shame on you guys for dragging that issue into this discussion), so now we're both offended, and I really didn't want to get into name-calling etc as that just takes away from the debate. I agree that this is an emotional issue and given we are human it's basically impossible to separate the emotion here, especially when given the gruesome nature of what happened. I blame Li for his actions (for going off his meds when he knew he was ill, at the very least) but I also blame the RCMP for just standing around for hours, just letting it happen. If this had happened a few hundred miles south Li would have waved his knife and head of the victim at the cops and gotten a double tap to the heart and one between the eyes and the cannibalism would have never happened. But it did, and they just sat there watching, and I've never really felt the RCMP apologized for that. Part of the issue here too is perspective. Some of us are old enough to have nephews and in Iso's case sons that are the same age as the poor guy who was killed and eaten by this nutbar and when you have sons that age, all you can think about is what would have happened and how you would have felt if that boy had been your kid. I can't imagine the trauma and suffering of that family who had to endure that. To watch a guy do that to your beautiful loved son and then get to walk free after a few years of "treatment" just defies all logic and reason. A guy in Edmonton just got 26 months in prison for killing a police dog for goodness sakes. So I know where Iso is coming from here. Should we just blindly trust our doctors and physicians in these cases? Well ok. But the fact that he's now considered a safe risk to the public is only half the issue here. It just doesn't seem to some of us that this guy has truly paid for what he did, and I'm not going to apologize for feeling that way, even if it's "borderline offensive" to some of you.
  4. He chose to not take his meds? I didn't know that, I thought he was just undiagnosed prior to the crime. To me that's the biggest thing. I don't remember the whole story, but if you choose to go off your meds you should never see freedom again. If he was undiagnosed, it's an entirely different situation. I would still never let him go completely unsupervised though. Make him check in every night to ensure he takes his meds would be my solution. All I know is that for the rest of this guy's life, we'll be paying for him to have his treatment. Perhaps they should have a "Do you like to eat people - Y/N" question on the immigrant application. Maybe he wants to move back where he came from, but that would mean he'd have to eat Chinese every night.

  6. We are very fortunate to hire a coach with Mike Kelly's vast football experience and a demonstrated commitment to the community and teaching and mentoring college students," said Widener Athletic Director Jack Shafer. "With his background, we look forward to continuing the success of our football team both on the gridiron and in the classroom." http://widenerpride.com/news/2014/2/28/FB_0228145405.aspx
  7. Yeah he's flying out to Ottawa with Kamau Peterson and Brock Ralph.
  8. I really really hope that they do a weekly coach's call-in show. And that we can listen to it online somehow.
  9. Here's a solution to the eating people issue at least...
  10. well he's going to certainly widen the field all right when he introduces the Jet package. I wonder if Brock Ralph is looking for work as an OC...
  11. Maybe he wants to have more kids? lol his wife is actually pregnant again. Saw both of them at Buck's wedding social on Saturday. Hope that you stopped her at four beers then....more then four can cause some serious brain issues for the baby, or at least that's why my mom said she always stopped at four, and then switched to vodka.
  12. CFL News ‏@CFL_News 33s #RedBlacks sign non-import WRs Justin Chapdelaine & Liam Mahoney, as well as non-import DB Justin Farrell.#CFL via @RedBlacks Mahoney!!
  13. easy solution - let all the Victor Li's out into society but then also make it mandatory that all adults carry a weapon to defend themselves from being eaten. It basically then just turns society into an episode of the Walking Dead.
  14. LOL - in the dictionary under "Hutterite" your profile picture could be used.
  15. @jetsbomberboobs is definitely worth the follow... Is that a feed that re-tweets our local media's offerings? Yeah except at least this is one Twitter feed that hasn't blocked me
  16. I'm doing searches on these Twitter handles and turns out I follow most of you guys and didn't even know it!
  17. I knew the old Mormon network would take care of its own.
  18. Especially if Goltz wins the starting job in TC from Willy. Start planning the parade, it's a done deal. Did we hire a QB coach, or a QB coach/Miracle worker? LOL - I notice Griller isn't so "pro Goltz" anymore like this time last year....speaking of which, isn't Morning Big Blue turning one soon?
  19. @jetsbomberboobs is definitely worth the follow...
