Speaking of Grey Cups - on this day in 1939, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Ottawa Rough Riders 8 - 7 at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa. It was the second Grey Cup for the franchise. Who knew in the following 75 years, only 8 more Cups would be coming our way, including 4 in a five year span from 1958 - 1962. Wow - if only we could get back to days like those eh?

I've heard the same. My buddy who grew up with Rod Black told me Rod would go to socials and always leave with another guy's girlfriend. Guys hated him, but the women couldn't resist him. With his advanced knowledge of figure skating and saying "wicked.." why wouldnt they?! Honestly, i could be wrong but I thought rod black was in the park Pontiac commercials.. Looks like I am going to the Grey Cup this year - anyone else here going? I just looked on the Grey Cup website and there doesn't appear to be any Bomber hosted venue this year, just the usual Touchdown Manitoba party which I am going to have to miss, yet again. In 2011 the Bomber House was the Elephant and Castle on Burrard. Are the Bombers not hosting a venue this year? In 2011 I was able to get to a kegger that Kubie Kid was hosting in a suite at the Sutton Place hotel, that was a lot of fun. It would be great to hook up with some other Bomber fans.
