Could you imagine rushing back your “best” centre from injury to shore up your line for it to turn out to be Dam Clark? Pretty damn lucky to have at least 3 more capable centres on our lineup.

The conversation was a little strange. "I hear you are from Winnipeg, are you a football fan? Follow the Bombers at all?" The next night we had a casual Monday Night Tailgate party with a wear your favourite jersey theme. He came up to me and said he was disappointed I wasn't wearing a Schoen jersey. I said " Jefferson is a Texas boy so I thought it would be the best representation". If Schoen re-signs with us for next year I have committed to buying one of his jerseys, will be very excited to part with that $$$. Apparently Schoen's Dad is quite ingrained in the local business community and everyone is following along.

To me the best part of Schoen's success is the attention it is creating down south. I was at a conference in Texas last month and met a guy from Kansas, knows Schoen's parents. Everyone in town is getting together to watch the games. When he found out I was from Winnipeg all he wanted to talk about was the Bombers, never mind any of the business that was actually why we were in Austin.

Standings be damned games against the Criders always matter. Beating them feels better than any other win that isn’t a playoff win and losing hurts more than any loss that isn’t a GC loss.

Today we wear orange and remember the atrocities our society inflicted on our first peoples. Tonight we wear Blue and Gold and hammer some Green in to the ground. Go Blue!!!

It will be interesting to hear if this was league driven or not. If the Riders did do this on their own they deserve some credit for only taking 5 weeks too long… I also expect that if the league wasn’t involved this is a perfect POS for Jones to sign. Week 18 could be the perfect week to rest Collaros before finishing the season against BC back to back.

Speaking of Duke, why wasn't he dressed, is he injured or suspended? Will he face additional punishment from the league? I think he or the team should be fined for allowing a nonparticipant be involved like that.

Take it easy… there are a few thousand Bombers fans in the province today, they don’t deserve such vitriol…

My guess, the new owner cares about winning and building for the future and would be willing to pay a salary cap fine if it meant getting more butts in seats and a better gameday experience for his fans. $100 000 fine would be worth a playoff appearance if you ask me.

I agree, BA back for Banjo bowl is 2 x 6 game stints, I don't think they bring him back and lose the salary relief available. if my memory serves me right you can practice a week earlier than coming off the 6 game without any salary penalty. Banjo Bowl makes the most sense.
