  1. You don't fault O'Shea for anything.
  2. Win-able? Sure. Likely? Not so much. Calgary is the best team in the league for a reason. They won't take us lightly, because we've won 7 in a row and because we are right behind them in the standings. BLM doesn't take many sacks, he doesn't throw many picks and we've won most of our games because we take the ball away so often. This game is a real measuring stick as to where we are right now. Win and we can be considered elite. Lose and we will be considered with the 2nd tier teams.
  3. Continuity is only good when we're winning. Continuity is highly over rated otherwise. Examples: Continuity was keeping MB from 2013-15. Change was bringing in PLAP. Continuity would have been to keep starting Willy, Neufeld and M Harris. Change is Nichols, Bond/Hardrick and Loffler.
  4. Not surprised. Miller/Walters/O'Shea have always thought they were on the right track, even when the wins weren't there. The last 7 wins show they are on the right track, at least for right now. I'd wait until the end of the season to see where we end up and if we win a playoff game or not before talking extensions, but then again, I'd have waited to see if Willy really was a top tier QB before paying like he was too.
  5. 3 Stars: McDuffie - TD turned the game around Medlock - 6 for 6 kept us in the game Flanders - Great job replacing Harris Happy Honker: Loffler - Huge hit took away a big play early and his hits are making receivers take notice.
  6. Any game that goes down to the last play is good in my books. Not too many penalties or challenges sure made it go by faster. Gotta love that. Thought Collaros looked bad tonight, but he still managed to get a big drive at the end to win it. Cato did some good, some bad, but in the end couldn't score any TD's, which cost them the game.
  7. Are you suggesting... If something doesn't happen on camera that it never happened?
  8. Harris is at least 30% of our offense, and we don't have that much offense to begin with. Losing him would be huge, not only for the running game, but for the blocking, the dump passes and his effort which other players feed off. Lochard's an unknown who looked OK in very limited reps. Flanders has even less carries. Am I worried about losing Harris? You bet I am.
  9. The guys who chose Ray over Collaros and Harris, overpaid for Willy IMO. Not that I'm complaining.
  10. I'm hoping to see Willy start and get pulled after 3 quarters cuz he doesn't start playing well until the 4th.
  11. I absolutely love these trades. Great work by Walters. Glenn > Willy at this point in their careers. Health had a great game today. The picks are pluses.
  12. Maybe you need to re-read my post. I said the 2014 version of Willy is a good QB. The 2016 version, not so much.
  13. 2014 Willy was good backup we need to keep. 2016 Willy, not so much. If Nichols goes down, our season goes with him, unless Davis plays better than expected or we keep Willy and he returns to a pre-2016 version of him.
  14. Three Stars: Dressler - 135 yard night Fogg - Great returns and the strip the turned the game around. Frederick - Tackle on 3rd down created a turnover plus a sack and 9 tackles Happy Honker: JFG - That deep catch was a thing of beauty and got us out of a ton of trouble
  15. Great game. Down to the wire, but Calgary found a way to win it, like they always seem to. Both of these teams look to be way ahead of us, which surprises me as Edmonton hasn't looked very good this year. Maybe Calgary didn't take them seriously enough until the 2nd half.
  16. In my experience, you monitor the network to catch streamers, not the individual computer or phone connected to company WiFi.
  17. Losing today would be a huge step backwards. Losing to the worst team in the league. Pissing off the sell out crowd just when the bandwagon is full, which could mean less fans in the stands going forward. Keeping us 4 points behind BC and giving Edmonton a chance (small as it may be) to catch us in the standings this evening. Quite frankly, it could be a turning point in the season if we lose. That being said, we're the better team, playing at home, in front of a sell out crowd. We should be able to not only win, but win big.
  18. The Lions are a very good team. When's the last time anyone hung 590+ yards of offense on a Montreal team? When was the last time anyone scored 3 TD's early on Montreal? Other than the fumble returned for a TD, everything went right for BC last night. Sure Montreal scored a few points late in garbage time, but that's just window dressing. Cato had a pretty good night both passing and moving the pocket. Should have thrown to Carter more often, but most of that's on Calvillo's play calling and BC's defense. Sutton was having a good night, but was taken out of the game by BC's early scores. Montreal looks so bad that I can't believe we are 1 and 1 with them.
  19. Sure, Lulay's an option too, and they'll have to give something big if they want him.
  20. That's terrible news for him and for Toronto's chances of making the playoffs. They'll have to give up something big if the want Willy now.
  21. Yup, it was a different time for sure. What we used to call a great tackle would be a penalty these days. The big hits we cheered from the stands while yelling 'Bring out the meat wagon and get this game going' are now met with a hush and other worried sounds from the crowd. Being knocked out used to mean smelling salts and getting right back on the field, now it means missing a game or two.
  22. Moving to another city didn't make me a fan of my new home team. If anything, it made me more of a Bomber fan as I felt like I had to stand up for them. I've had season tickets in Winnipeg, Calgary and BC. I've been to 8 GC's and I've seen the Bombers win and lose GC's in person. I totally understand ISO's anger in being called out as a Calgary first fan. I'd be pissed too.
  23. Has it ever been a 6-12 team vs a 9-9?
  24. Toronto doesn't look like a very good team right now, even with Ray's great completion %. Their defense is slowly getting better and may be able to give them a chance in the second half, but it's looking more and more like a cross over year.
  25. Ralph was one of my all time favs. Man he could throw a football. Folks said he could throw the ball through a car wash without getting it wet. We won a lot of games in those years. Couldn't win the big games, but then again, a lot of them were against Edmonton during their dynasty.
