Flag on the play.
Making an argument, even if you think that its reasoning has more holes in it than the red, lacey delicates that women will be wearing this evening the world over, isn't the same as trolling.
Make your counter arguments. Bookmark it for a satisfying toldyaso in August.
Also, if that is Migs and he's changed his screen name, so what?

Losing Exume sucks! Guy is a beast on ST
Coach Mickey likely had his eye on him.
Another Argo fan suspects he may see a tryout at SAM.

Give us Metchie
Our as-yet-unnamed DC wouldn't likely go for that.

Did Tunde Adeleke sign with the Argos? Farhan says he did but he said it so casually that it seemed like a mistake because I haven’t read about it anywhere else
Yes.

You'd think the former Argos would rather have gone to the Riders to be with Mace.
I do remember hearing that idea proposed once or twice.

uh no...I want them to suck as bad as TJ Heath. Thought that was obvious....
But... We got Drew Willy for that guy!
I never want to see guys leave us and career years, but I have to say that the guys we let go (because basically, we just let them all leave...) they're all pretty good and definitely don't suck.

may they all go on and have TJ Heath style success with their new teams.
You want us to trade them all twice?

NGL, the pussycats actually look like the value bet there.

It's early in the FA derby yet, but....
I hate saying it but Edm definitely got better on paper. Edm and Sask won't be the free space they were past few years. Don't think BC got as good as I'd have figured considering they're hosting this year.
We'll see what things look like this time next week...
Edmonton and Hamilton will obviously be better. They've each added 4 Argos.
Ottawa and Saskatchewan will only be a little better having only added 2.

I thought he would go at least $180k even pushing to $200k. He's a baller, young and I don't think he's hit his ceiling yet.
Oh I agree about his potential. But his resume is pretty thin. He was a PR guy that had the fortune to become Kelly's favorite target when they were both backups.

You think?
I think Coxie did very well on that.

I did. That's why I hit the wall. Tinted visor caused me not to see it.
I thought you just did it with the visor.

Hey, I got a tinted visor and not only did it not make me faster, it caused a concussion. Granted the concussion was from running into a brick wall.
You have to install the tinted visor on a helmet before checking a wall's structural integrity.

I am of the opinion that the East could go to any of Montreal, Toronto, or Hamilton this year depending on a whole bunch of variables. I guess that I am seeing what I believe to be improvement in Hamilton, regression in Toronto, and status quo in Montreal. All of that and a buck won't be worth a bag of chips since it's only February though.
Gives them a QB that isn't a gimmick QB if Maier goes down. Solid move.
That'd barely get you a fun-sized bag these days

It's fair to say they're the team to beat.
But if you're making a standing prediction, is it your honest opinion that Montreal will finish 1st in the East? Because it isn't mine.
That's where I am.
Fair play to the Champions, but I don't see them as better than us in any way other than the result of the East Final.
36 minutes ago, Mike said:No concerns that Toronto will be able to put together a good roster if I’m an Argos fan. Will it gel this year in time? Impossible to say. But will they have talent in camp? I don’t know why anyone would assume otherwise. Great scouts over there, especially on defence and they still have a lot of solid pieces in place.
Carnell, McManis, Jones, Ceresna, Metchie, Orimolade … they’ve got the makings of a solid D for sure.
Yeah, that too.
And lets remember that Ouellette, Peters, Hendrix etc were unknown FAs just a year or two ago.

What’s your take on losing those interior DL? Is there enough depth there to replace 2 studs + possibly Oakman as well?
l see Ouelette as a huge loss as well,
The announcers talked about Kelly but I saw the Argos running game as the harder aspect to deal with. No one was able to pin their ears back on the QB until the EF.
I was actually really hoping to see him in blue & gold when it looked like Brady was gone.We have 3 interior DL studs under contract, so it'll be fine.
Like I said, the only sport that we didn't have a top quality backup was cover LB. So right now looking at our team, that position and its backup is our biggest hole.

The recruitment better be very good because a boat load of talent just left. If you think you are filling those holes with first year recruits you are high. The Argos have to get to work in FA or they are going to be left behind. That being said, I have never seen a team built in FA do very well.
We pretty much were built by recruitment and free agency, so... There's reason to think we're still the team to beat in our division.
We have a star QB. All 7 of the best O-Line are back. We have very strong Canadian players and depth. All of the departed players (save one) had a backup that demonstrated over the final third of the season that they are starter calibre on a winning club.
Circle of life.

Damn, FA hasn't even started yet...
No kidding, 16-2 and then complete overhaul.
I don't get it
Not difficult to have seen this outcome coming.
- We had lots of guys on first time contracts that were due a raise.
- We had several guys who were to be "best in category free agents".
- We had depth enough to field two teams and compete (which we did.
So with the realities of the cap upon us, Pinball/Magri/Russell have chosen to put their faith in their recruiting. They've been ridiculously good at it, so I can't even second guess them. But losing 5 defensive starters, 2 key offensive contributors and the best 2 ST guys in the league is a BIG ask.

Who was the other american back they had?
Deonta McMahon. Excellent for change-of-pace. Not an every down back, imo. Also Jevon Leake (gone).
But it is Adeboboye that may take the job.
Just now, Geebrr said:But Jim Kelly is Chad Kelly’s Uncle still.
So there is that.

Argo's will lose Leake to the ELk's.....man T.O gonna be a complete new team....Wonder if that where Grant lands
Is it weird to go 16-2 and then rebuild?
We so far have lost the league's best Cover LB, DB (and maybe the 2nd best as well), Kicker, Import RB and Returner...

Wow. Because I don't follow the Argoblows so my apologies for missing it but why on earth would they not make resigning AJO a priority? What's behind that story? Simply too far apart in what they offered and what he wanted?
Friggen Sasks running game just improved greatly.
15 minutes ago, Geebrr said:I’m guessing they think they can find a reasonable replacement.

Maybe we bring in new American talent... or maybe what they saw in week 20 at Mosaic has them thinking.

He won't need to be an every-down back with us. We'll make plenty of use out of Adeboboye and McMahon.
If Carey can find his 2022 form after his injury niggles last season, he'll finally have an O-Line to help him realize his potential.
