  1. Did some digging - No yards does not apply on a dribbled ball. They made the correct call. https://cfldb.ca/rulebook/kicking/kick-from-scrimmage-and-open-field-kick/
  2. Best post of the day - the problems we saw today can be fixed - this is a win against any other team
  3. Same D we've seen all year. They give up a ton of yardage but get turnovers - I was impressed that they almost won a game where they generated just one turnover (should have been two)
  4. Not a theory at all, that's the rule for a dribbled ball, which is what the call was. You have to be onside in order to recover a dribbled ball, which was negated when Adams touched it
  5. If he hadn't touched it, it would have been no yards. The players who recovers for the 'dribbling team' has to be onside.
  6. The truth is it looks like several other starts minus the turnovers
  7. Not much Messam so far - they are stopping him
  8. Giving up yards as usual - Stamps not likely to turn it over.
  9. Oh indeed - there's a sucker born every minute - and a Bomber team to take him.
  10. They were never going to cancel it. If they were, it would have been a bigger in McFad's last election.
  11. That is a big fat maybe. Most CFL offenses move the ball when they're pinned deep. I'll go with the 45+ kicker every day of the week, and I dare say so would you.
  12. The Bombers D gives up the yards and forces turnovers. They do tend to give up significant YAC, hope they can tighten that up.
  13. Agreed. Plus also, DB's in the arena pretty much just keep the play in front of them Cool name - though
  14. He's not the first first coach who was more comfortable sticking with a vet - Dave Ritchie anyone?
  15. Posted this in another thread - but it's bloody good and it fits here: The current winning streak simply doesn't happen with the kicking we got last year. With a conservative offense he is often asked to make long kicks - and he delivers. He's a big part of why the conservative O game plan is working as well as it is. When you know you can get three points, you're less likely to throw risky passes or run high risk, high reward plays.
  16. Ok, I'll let myself be arsed and provide some rationale: Most Outstanding Player - Matt Nicholls I don't care how good Harris, the OL, & the D are, we wouldn't be winning without the intangibles Nicholls has brought to the table. Game management, ball protection, executing the game plan, and just being a leader. Most Outstanding Canadian - Andrew Harris He has to show up somewhere on the list. Plays with grit, heart, and talent. Pass protection, running, and receiving - he's a golden ratio breaker Most Outstanding Defensive Player - Kevin Fogg He plays a difficult position and has his receiver locked down most of the time. Other players have more picks and more tackles, but they flat out don't throw the ball Fogg's way very often. Most Outstanding Lineman - Stanley Bryant The left side of the offensive line is locked down 95% of the time. You don't achieve that without a shutdown left tackle - period. Most Outstanding Special Teams Player - Justin Medlock Obvious choice - winning streak simply doesn't happen with the kicking we got last year. With a conservative offense he is often asked to make long kicks - and he delivers. He's a big part of why the conservative O game plan is working as well as it is. When you know you can get three points, you're less likely to throw risky passes or run high risk, high reward plays. Most Outstanding Rookie - Taylor Loffler A rookie - bringing fear from the safety position - impressive. Good reads, good reactions, positionally sound.
  17. I know. IMO it has become too commercialized. They need to go back to delicious & fresh product that got them to where they are today. I had stuff that was definitely out of the freezer.
  18. Ditto - was a rather important fundraiser
  19. Just as an aside - Danny's product sure ain't what is used to be
  20. 1. The Riders have had close games against other teams 2. Nichols is playing better than Reilly, Burris and Harris. He's executing a conservative game plan, putting key drives together at the right time and not turning the ball over 3. Considering where this team was at - I don't believe you're not excited yet
  21. Great game. Their commentary on Lefevour was hilarious. First he's the best QB since Doug Flutie, living up to the 18 on his jersey. Second half...looks like Drew Willy will be starting next game.
