IDK that was a poorly managed Leafs team from 2005 to 2012 - debating whether or not to rebuild & overpaying for talent. It's pretty hard to judge any coach they employed in that era.

I don't usually bother, but you said they were "gassing one line" when the fact is all other teams are managing their forwards' TOI exactly the same way I'm out - just wanted to make that clear.

If you check some stats - most (if not all) teams play their best forwards about 20 minutes per game, give or take. The Jets are really not any different. Actually, total goals scored in the regular season are almost identical.

FWIW they averaged 3.1 goals per game in last year's playoff run - 53 goals in 17 games. Basically, scoring at last year's rate would have gotten them into OT - with the shaky goal tending and puck possession we saw last night - I do not like their chances in OT. You don't win playoff games when your goalie is letting in wrist shots from the face off circle.

He clearly has fewer effective advisors monitoring and mentoring him at this point - the real Trudeau is being exposed.
