  1. Yeah, if the OL is brilliant, with that many playmakers on the field, you don’t get shut out in the second half.
  2. Disagree. There were three Lions and three Bombers in the area, it was not double coverage. Pause it right before the ball arrives, the B.C. player isn’t even in position to deflect it yet. Demski found the opening in the zone but couldn’t hold on to the ball.
  3. For me it began after the 2008 season. I went for into that season really believing we had a good team, had resigned some good FAs etc. I will attend some games, watch some on TV, but it doesn’t matter one way or the other. Yesterday - was just more of the same.
  4. Turning it over on downs twice in the red zone is not just on the QB - not by a long shot.
  5. I have become neutral when it comes to this team - they will not get me a too far up or too far down.
  6. He was known for calling plays that required the OL to hold their blocks longer. Not exactly helpful for a group that was already a liability.
  7. If they run the infamous soft zone, Lulay will get the ball out before pressure gets through. Jennings’ play had a lot to do with their crappy OL play last week.
  8. Two very different offenses - makes it hard to compare receivers. I do think Williams and Walker would be very good no matter who is throwing to them.
  9. Our advantage is in the trenches. Agree with your assessment.
  10. The Bombers are better in certain areas - should be an interesting match up in a few weeks.
  11. But someone listed on the game day roster as a QB cannot play any other position.
  12. Wrong thread for this discussion - but you are not quite correct.
  13. Canadian Farm income is a higher percentage of GDP and it is higher per capita.
  14. That’s also coal country & surrounded by decent farmland.
  15. We are rather prone to giving up something they are quite good at.

  17. Everyone always says that, but Reilly just continues to be successful with that offence.
  18. Give them a few weeks - they’ll overthink it again at some point.
  19. Don’t you go knockin’ Lord Selkirk’s city that way...
  20. And I refuse to apologize for loving all of the above.
  21. Your OL can’t protect the QB, so there is no reason to believe they could run-block effectively. I suspect opposing D coordinators are scheming to take away the dump passes & quick outs, knowing your QBs won’t consistently get the protection for the medium / deep throws.
  22. With an 8-9-1 record and be under-estimated by a 15-3 team from the West in the GC.
  23. In short, it’s the cumulative effect of several factors, one being the absence of Travis Bond. I also think OL play as a cohesive group can make up for the loss of one dominant starter. Further, I think the benefits elsewhere on the roster, MLB in particular, tilt the scales in favour of Neufeld starting. We still have the best OL in the league. Just my 0.02
