BC Lions @ SaskJones Implosions (preseason game)
I think the assumption is that if they didn't accept PR spots in BC, they won't in Saskatchewan either.

Bombers Opener June 24 ... (also Laine Day!)
Pretty sure Adams will go. Worth noting - Montreal is also starting two rookies in the secondary.

They'd be insane to let Franklin go for free.

Final Cuts
They're keeping Castillo as insurance. Big deal. Not the spectacle it's being made out to be.

Final Cuts
BC cut T-Dre Player, 2nd round pick in 2014, who started 9 games for them at right guard last year. 24 years old, born in Winnipeg ... is there any reason this kid doesn't immediately join the Bombers? This is exactly the stroke of luck we needed if we can bring him in.

Final Cuts
I think the best we can hope for Macho is that he doesn't suck ALL the time.

Final Cuts
I'm not going to be surprised if he's the only "surprise" cut.

Final Cuts
Bucknor being cut doesn't entirely surprise me.

I assume you're very knowledgeable about your job. It would be nice if all of our media were also. Seems like it SHOULD be a prerequisite.

Main Camp
Makes sense - Butcher will develop a lot more by taking care of the prep program they'll send him off with and getting the opportunity to take CIS reps.;
-
Final Cuts
None of them are - I would imagine Butcher will be on our negotiation list and head back to school, while the others will be see ya later alligator.
-
Main Camp
Butcher could also always go back to school and get neg listed.

Well he's closer to 30 than to 10 ...

Teravainen and Drouin are equal on what planet? Drouin just had his coming out party in Tampa Bay and figures into their roster for the foreseeable future. Teravainen doesn't even have a role in Chicago that suits him.

Wylie post practice
You're right, all import OL and all prospects are the same.

Wylie post practice
If this is the kind of entertainment we get from the mandatory assistant interviews, I'm ALL for it. It's about time somebody tore into some of the stupidity that gets peddled by our local media. Notice how when Wylie asks a football related question, NOBODY in that scrum has an answer for it? They can look at numbers all they want on a piece of paper but ask them to actually talk about what goes on down at field level and they're speechless.

What I don't quite understand is that after continually having your proposals critiqued on not only this forum, but another Jets forum as well, you still have difficulty grasping the idea that most of the suggestions you come up with are incredibly far-fetched. Yzerman's reaction if Chevy ever pitched this trade?

First cuts
Cone, Collins, Robinson, Walker, Patrick and Celiscar gone Keeping, Knox and Richards on 6-game IR.

Throw the ball downfield
Remind me again how you know the receivers were open based on that zoomed in camera angle we get watching on TV?

Bombers To Hire Former Riders Scout
Not entirely sure how our old national scout (which people seem to be confusing as scouting for "national" players) got a promotion to the NFL but hey, I'm not about to jump on the new guy quite yet. Seems like yet again, we've scouted a pretty poor crop of players so maybe some new blood is necessary.

Preseason 2 - Ottawa
you are off to a wonderful start here.

You can talk about the great Chris Jones all you want, his defense last year had 3 more sacks than Winnipeg and we produced a grand total of 3 sacks from the end position opposite of Westerman. For all the disguised blitzing and different looks a Chris Jones defense gives, his elite linebackers in Edmonton put together 5 less sacks than our "awful" ones here in Winnipeg. We've since added the #1 and #2 ranked DTs in quarterback sacks last year. Getting to the QB shouldn't be a problem for us.

Guaranteed you are wrong.
