To be fair, we got Michael Couture for Chris Greaves and that's a pretty worthwhile trade in my mind.

The way you're acting is portraying it as if it was an active choice they made to NOT go pick a Canadian lineman off the Canadian lineman tree. If the problems were as easy to solve as you're making them out to be, Canadian OL wouldn't be considered as valuable as they are.

I think the log cookies in Ottawa and the steam whistle in Hamilton are both awesome.

The problem with AJ making something out of it is that it already seemed stale because the same schtick had just bricked a few segments earlier.

I've never had more fun on an online forum than I'm having today. At this point I've had 5 or 6 Rider fans PM me to comment anonymously on the spin going on from their fellow fans in that thread. It's pretty amusing. I hate saying this but some of those guys aren't all that bad.

Stronson and Rotor are pretty well connected, I'll give them that. But both of them, especially Stronson, have gotten a bit too high and mighty and find themselves guilty of feeling like they're allowed to make up whatever bull story they want and expecting no one to call them on it because of the "don't you know who we are?!" factor.

I'm getting a real kick out of that too. What he got caught doing in that thread is so perfect. Was thinking about this earlier and I'm really torn on who I expect more from this year between Ryan Smith and Weston Dressler. Smith is younger and probably has more room to grow, but Dressler brings that increased professionalism to a group that really needed an injection of it on the offensive side of the ball. I'd love to hear opinions though because I'm fairly torn. Dressler or Smith?

Rider_Stronson is going on and on over at Riderfans about how this is a market correction to make up for the deals Walters and Desjardins gave out last year to Chungh and Mateas, but what a joke. He wants to blame this on some valiant effort to right the wrongs of past GMs, but really it strikes me as Jones (again, *if* true) trying to combat stubbornness with stubbornness. The #1 overall pick hasn't made league minimum for years. Heenan didn't, Muamba didn't, even Shomari the Marshmallow didn't make league minimum. I don't know what is going on with these negotiations, but if there was a league minimum offer tabled then Jones is going to find out in a hurry that JSJ isn't in any hurry to sign for that amount.

No doubt in my mind Saskatchewan has a worse defense than us this year. The only spot they rate out evenly to us on paper is in the linebacking group. They've added some great pieces but that secondary is going to be a nightmare early on.
