Had the Bombers lost in 2019 Grey Cup, I had already made the decision to step back as a Bomber fan to protect my mental health, so I fully sympathize and understand what it can do to a fan. It's why I joined the forum and logged tens of thousands of posts in the first place, it was therapeutic to know that there were others out there willing to talk, discuss, argue football with that were just as committed as me. I found solace on these boards during our down times, and learned a long time ago that these losses are more than just football to many of us. The last three years helped me prepare for this loss, because I know what this team is capable of and I was able to shrug it off more easily. I am sure once the offseason starts rolling things will get easier for all of us as we still have a crap load to be excited for. This team is not done.

Tough loss for your team, but congrats on another great season. Respect to those Bomber fans at the game, that’s one of the loudest games I can remember in new Mosaic. What an atmosphere 💯

What was the deal with the player package on that Prukop interception?

That came off of a 13 yard Brady run for a first down, and only the 2nd play of the drive. I thought Prukop was effective where he gets a short yardage first down, and they keep him out there and try to catch the opponent with a mismatched package, either for a designed run outside or a quick pass... was he out there at the start of the drive or did they sub off Collaros for that play?

Re-watched the game this morning without the red haze of anger and disappointment, and it confirmed what I subjectively felt while watching the game live and have a few thoughts:
To echo other posts, Collaros was nothing short of terrible. Heck, both Bethel-Thompson and Chad Kelly were better than Collaros, and by a long shot. Collaros should have been pulled shortly after half-time, but intellectually I can understand why they did not. Collaros has pulled off upset wins regularly, and we were still in the game, so..... He was also iffy against the Lions, so the trend was there.
There appeared to be zero adjustment at half-time. To put it bluntly, Argo defensive coordinator Corey Mace out-coached Buck Pierce who had no answers for whatever the Argo defence was doing. However, the way Collaros was playing, I am not sure it would have made a difference anyways.
There was no Harris vs Oliveira comparison. Brady was under-utilized but was much, much better than Harris. 
Our vaunted O-line was abused, particularly in the second half. Couture specifically missed several assignments, but the whole damned O-line had difficulty picking up Argo blitzes.
Jamal Parker was solely responsible for letting Kelly crack off that run which greatly impacted the momentum of the game. He has been good overall after a rough start but was once again suffering brain cramps. 
Whoever was responsible for Prukop's wildly ill-advised pass into double coverage ought to be fired. 
We had a good shot at winning right up to the last few minutes, but the Argos refused to fold, and were the better team on Sunday. So close and yet so far.

The only thing that makes this sting so much- is how truly shitty that argo team was last nigh- like truly garbage like they were, yet we were worse... That wasn't the Bomber team that I have been watching all year... like WTAF? disappointing more than anything, with a tinge of embarrassment. 

Yep on the 40. Would have needed 75 yards in the air to make sure it was through the end zone and not playable. FG was the right decision.

At 23-17 I thought it was over, figured we wold march for another TD and just shut them down the rest of the way…

Not exciting. Quite boring. Not very good football.  Regina shouldn't host another cup again.  TSN seriously needs to improve the game day quality and experience.  Big Time. The half time show, still trying to figure out who it was supposed to appeal to. 
The game was the most boring Grey cup game I've seen in some time. Nothing happened at all for long stretches of the game. I wasn't overly upset when we lost, because I thought we truly didn't deserve the win today.

The more I look back on the game, the more I think we were lucky it was so close. We never really felt in it.

On the “bright side “, I’m $300-400 less poor from needing to buy 3peat gear at the Bomber Store. 

Collaros needs to learn to take what they give you and against the Argos especially.  Seen this game before vs Toronto. 

I agree with what was said above. Give Prukop second and short and maybe a first down on hurry up, but no business being out there for so many first downs. And I don't think we ran any sweeps to the edge with Demski or Bailey tonight. Could those have forced them to defend the edge?

That loss hurt. Long time listener first time caller on these boards. 
 
I spent almost 30 years waiting for bomber grey cup wins. We had two and almost a 3rd. I enjoyed every second of the coverage and posts this week. Cherished it like a fine wine, knowing it could be another 30 before it happened again. I also know that next year our team will be competitive - O’Shea will be motivated and so will the entire staff. As a long suffering bomber fan we’ve spent many other off seasons feeling totally opposite. Remember that ? False hope is a hard thing to carry. 
 
Was this a classic Argos win ? yea it was but such is life. we can look forward to a Leaf’s meltdown in a few months. I actually think it’s part of the leafs prophecy - when the Argos fluke a GC win they can’t win for another 10 years.. 
 
Can’t win them all but loosing is a lot worse when you’re at the bottom there’s no hope and nothing to be proud of. That’s not the bombers of now it was the bombers of old. Go blue - time to go 1-0 next year.

Collaros mobility looked fine to me.
Think the bigger issue is the refusal/inability to check down into a quick passing game vs this Argo D that just sits back in deep zones for the most part in coverage.
Saw late they finally got some of that going to Ellingson in that 5-7 yard range.  Should have been there all night.  Clearing routes and get ball to Demski under them for some YAC plays.  Make Muamba cover the field.
