Manitoba at least seems to be trending in the right direction. The colony outbreaks *seem* to be under control. Hopefully the 6 in hospital pull through and there's no more deaths. Out here in AB, we're going the opposite direction. Things are just awful and seem to be getting worse.

There was the colony out breaks and I also read another good chunk of the cases was related to travel. Doesn’t seem like community transmission was a big proponent of this increase in cases. What’s Alberta doing with school coming fall?

The Cons have a larger problem- their unwillingness to expel members who openly voice racist comments. McKay is the only leadership candidate who has any credibility and he is as dynamic as a glass of warm milk.

Yikes what does this say about the liberals then? Or does someone just need to apologize and everything is all ok?

No surprise there. Apparently there is what amounts to trench warfare between the rabid racist/misogynist staff and the few who are trying to maintain some shreds of professionalism. And we know who is going to win that battle, don't we? Fox will fight these allegations tooth and nail with all sorts of attacks on the plaintiffs and when the facts come out in court, they will offer to settle with NDA's.

Don’t know much about the Hannity case, and couldn’t care less is someone likes or dislike tucker, but have you seen the allegations that were made against him? There isn’t much she’s going on.

People somehow using this to "make fun" of the Black Lives Matter movement...........I want to say it makes me shake my head, but it's a lot worse than that. It's unbelievable to me that people don't get the severity of that, in this day and age.

    How sad :(

I understand Washington will be renaming their team the Red Wolves. The Grey Wolves & Black Wolves are upset. Black Wolves Matter are planning a mass wolf demonstration at Washington's training camp next week in protest.

The black wolves matter protest has turned into rioters and looters. Stole all my meat from my freezer.

    Go back under your bridge.

Said the troll. It was a genuine question but that’s ok. So as someone who can identify as indigenous, has lived beside a reserve, grown up with many friends from the reserve, and worked with First Nations, am I allowed to have authority over what is and isn’t racist?

What on earth are you babbling about...

ive lived north of 60 for 25 years and worked for/with the Inuit and First Nations

you really are out of your depth - and the more you casually use those words to show how they are ‘not racist’ drmonstrates just how quietly racist they are...

So all that makes you the judge on what is and isn’t racist then?

  8. Not really a random news event, but thought I’d ask on here. Anybody know a good seamstress in Winnipeg? Got some new dress slacks for work and need a little work done on them. Unfortunately, grandmas poor eye sight  means she can no longer do the work.

The relationship between Canada and indigenous people is broken for a lot of different reasons than what's going on in the states.

I mean it's still a real gong show with so many reserves being so impoverished (which predictably leads to worse outcomes for the people living there) but it is a different animal and one that is much much harder to over come than simple discrimination.

Yes but racism is racism. But going by trackers logic, after decades of oppression, he understands if innocent people experience violence. More of a thought process I was playing out.

If you cannot see that what happened to George Floyd and so many other backs in the US as lethal violence against innocent people, I do not know how to respond to that. I do not condone violence against the innocent but I can certainly understand it, and see it as an inevitable outcome of many decades of oppression.

You could say indigenous people and Canada have had a bad relationship? Im indigenous, so you would be ok if let’s say.... i was violent against you? I mean you did say you understand it after decades of oppression.

Last summer was dry but we did have a good crop - the rains we did get were timely.  Of harvest I cannot say as much - soybeans were harvested in the snow, some wheat sprouted because we didn't get it off before the heavy Sept. rains.

Ya you have the ability to wait a bit. We have to start cutting hay in July and it was beyond dry.

This is certainly not one of those years - we'll be happy to finish by the end of May.

Livestock rancher here. I can’t remember The last time we have had a normal spring/summer. Flood in 2011-2014. 2015-2017 was recovering from the floods. And then 2018-2019 have been droughts. Past 3 years in my area ranchers have been scrambling to get enough feed for the animals
