So machine guns are prohibited in Canada, and civilians have been unable to buy automatic guns since 1986 in the US, so I’m still confused as to what you mean by a mock machine gun

Check out the social media comments that go with this story. The Haters said let the league die basically.  By asking for money the CFL is being mocked as financial losers. One person said to let the Lions fold, put in real grass & get an NFL team.  NFL fans (I presume) are just laughing at us. A pro league asking for money like a small business owner is doing.

What is the one thing associated with the CFL by the generally "I don't give a **** about the CFL" crowd? Empty seats. The CFL has done absolutely nothing about it. For years, they've ignored how high ticket prices & televising every game meant fans stay home. There should have been a solution to attract younger viewers worked out by now, problem solved & it hasn't happened.

The CFL did nothing about the negative perception that the league is failing because of half to three quarter filled stadiums. Now the CFL is asking for public money & all the Haters are saying why give anything to a failing league???  Perception is everything. The perception, especially by those in Toronto & Vancouver is that the CFL has a minor league product & it will eventually fold.  Vancouver & Toronto will finally get NFL teams  they deserve if the CFL will just go away permanently. That sentiment is on every Commissioner & the BOG's shoulders since former Commissioner Jake Gaudaur retired.  The CFL will spend $$$ to grow the game in Lithuania but not in Lethbridge. We want to be bigshots in Chile but we're small potatoes in Calgary.

So I agree with a few points you made, but what are they supposed to do? If they need the money they need the money.

I am very late to the party but I finally got around to watching the Rise of Skywalker and while I understand the criticisms people have for the movie, I found it a lot better than The Last Jedi and believe that a lot of the reasons for the problems this movie has is because of how disjointed the trilogy became because of the **** sandwich that Rian Johnson fed us with The Last Jedi. That movie made Finn and Poe 100% irrelevant and trying to make them more in the third film was forced. Which is dumb because clearly you set them up to be the new heros in the first one but then crap all over them in the 2nd? There's no coming back from that. You set up a potential new big bad in the first but kill him without any sort of payoff in the 2nd so what's left for the third? Trying to subvert expectations was the wrong call with the 2nd movie because it left them with nothing for the third movie and a completely disjointed trilogy.

So in summary, it's Rian Johnson's fault.

I agree. While the ROS isn’t great, it’s miles better the TLJ, I think TLJ might have been the worst Star Wars movie created, not including the Star Wars Christmas special

We'll if you judge Trump as a great President (or even a barely competent one), then you shouldnt be giving odds.

Where do you get that I think trump is competent? I was just making a joke.

Worried about her age because of Joe's.  might not be bad considering Trump is old, in terrible shape and prone to looking on the verge of collapse at times.   But, the idea is Biden is the transitional leader, the guy that brings the country together, unites everyone and gets things stabilized until a more dynamic person takes over after his first term.  I think Warren would be a great President, but then we're talking about her running when she's 75 against a lot of younger opponents and risk a rough primary (which is what the GOP always wants).

I'd rather see a younger woman.  And all things being equal, a POC.

I think there is a 1/1024 chance she would make a great president.

That is not 100% accurate. Dr Roussain explained they other day that if a close contact of a known positive develops symptoms that is automatically considered a presumed positive. The two they removed from the list were basically that. Once tested it was discovered they did not have it and the cases were removed. The idea behind not testing that person is pretty simple. The positive test is followed by an order to self isolate for 14 days, being a close contact to a known case is also a self isolation for 2 weeks. Why have a presumed positive travel outside their home/community to be told to do sometime they should already be doing and getting the test itself puts others at risk?

Hey I’m just talking from my experience from the people I know. He lives with her and they won’t test him. So they won’t put him in the data base if he hasn’t been tested

What is the testing rate in Manitoba as compared to other provinces? I think that stat needs to be added in as the number of infected people sure seems low. With zero cases again.  There is no way just 250 people are infected in Manitoba with Covid 19.

No there is not only 250. I know a lady who lives with her fiancé, and she tested positive. They didn’t even bother testing him, and he has it too. But that’s one case, can only imagine there are other scenarios where people have it but won’t get tested

To be fair, in Manitoba we have 4 Covid related deaths.. In Manitoba we also have 26 deaths related to the seasonal flu virus so.. Perhaps this has been a wee bit overblown. Im following the rules tho but man theres a whole lot of stuff here that makes you go hmmm.

well that’s true, things could also be worse if we didn’t take action. It’s like trying to compare what has happened vs what we predicted to happen

Now cmon, Joe Biden is a great communicator, maybe the best.... no sorry... I didn't mean to say that - he's good though... that's a stupid thing to say.... I shouldn't have said that... best was... maybe... no that's stupid...  good... yes... what?... okay, thank you

You really think Obama chose to wait until there was one left standing to make his endorsement because he just didnt want to endorse Joe? lol  He was always going to.  Everyone knew that.  He's the leader of the party.  In a critically important election.  He'd have endorsed whomever the candidate was.  That's what a good leader does.  Why today?  Because Bernie dropped out and endorsed Biden.  There is no longer any opposition.  Obama is showing leadership and setting an example.  Everyone must rally around the candidate.

Well personally I think joe is not a great candidate, but of course he was gonna support the leader of the dems, but if he was going to support Joe the entire time, why not do it earlier? I didn’t mean for it to be that deep sorry just didn’t seem as genuine to me. Someone did send an article to me talking about why he waited
