I don't dislike Streveler and actually like him a lot and hope he develops into a starting QB for us but saying he's better than Nichols after one good game is insanity.

Nichols would've won the LDC, a much more difficult game to win, but not the Banjo Bowl (a game he would've started had he been healthy with the offensive gameplan called around his strengths)…? I don't get it.
Neither QB has blown the lid off the stats sheet this season, but they don't have to - at least not yet. This team is winning thanks to its collective efforts across all three phases, IMO.

The craziest part is there are people blaming Nichols for getting injured, like he let the end come off the left side untouched.

When a player is out on the field busting his gut & he gets called a wimp because of his parents genetics by a looney fan who says he learned his toughness on an elementary school yard field when he was 8... then yeah, I'll call that fan out. Those comments are Rider fan stupid.

Maybe you should criticize the blocking on that play instead of Nichols. I mean, if it was Streveler who got hurt that's the first thing you'd say.  Where was the blocking?????? You & Skunk are such keyboard warriors that it's hilarious.  Calling out Nichols as soft.  SMH.

I think a lot of people forget that Streveler has less than 10 professional starts since he was in college. Is he better overall than Nichols at this point? Of course not. Does he have potential to be? VERY easily. There will be bumps along the way. He is still an incredibly young QB - See the Edmonton game. But his feet can get him out of trouble, and he's only going to get better when it comes to reading defences, accuracy, and everything else that comes with throwing the football.
Personally, I'll take the facepalm moments that will inevitably happen in the short term, knowing how good this guy can be in a season or two.

a lot of this stuff about the crowds goes back to my long-held belief that we actually have more die-hard fans who are intelligent football fans. They definitely have a lot more "casual" fans that buy all the green gear because it's trendy to do so, but in terms of the true die-hards, who stick around through thick and thin, I really and truly believe we have a lot more of those. They don't need to be told when to make noise and when NOT TO make noise....they just understand football. 

I see on RF.com they think we have artificial noise.
Sorry, that is just a much louder fan base you are experiencing.
Also, we don't need a guy telling us to make noise every down on defence and using a matching band up until the ball is snapped.

ha yeah Matt insisted on telling the entire Banjo Bowl story, even with Rod continually saying "we don't need to repeat what Westwood said" and interrupting as Matt was trying to tell the story.  Matt just kept going, including correcting Black when he said that Westwood had recanted his banjo-pickin' inbred comment, by saying "yeah, he said that 80% of the people in Saskatchewan can't play the banjo!!"  Ha ha ha I was loving that.  You know Suits wouldn't ever go there.
