That was a roster decision from the Hamilton Powers That Be about letting Big Kev.... errr... Taylor Powell go to free agency. They could have paid Powell to stay since Mitchell wasn't the highest paid qb in the CFL. So, they probably could have worked out a deal for the backup considering he left only to sign in Edmonton behind Fajardo who is 3 years younger than Mitchell. In fact, Mitchell had signed a roster friendly deal with the Ti Cats which was a steal of a deal after the season he had last year. I feel sorry for the fans in Hamilton but not the people in football ops

Yeah but the alternative is suffering thru extreme pain which is far worse. Have to get back to normal on the downside of the pain issues. My doctor said the pain will start to subside after 5-10 days. Tomorrow is Day 5. Wouldn't want Lawler. Yeah, he can go up for the ball better than anyone but he is a moody player. He'll disappear if he's unhappy.

I will say that when I take the Oxycodin for pain it makes me feel drunk. So, if I reacted the way I did it wasn't intentional.

So, I am probably being affected by the pain meds in some ways which would account for why I called Powell Kevin instead of Taylor. I'm going to be bed ridden for the next 8-10 weeks minimum which is depressing because my summer is over. We had planned on takin g a trip along the Oregon coast in August that i was looking forward to. At least I made it to Kelowna for the CFL game. So, I am struggling right now. Although, I'm not looking for sympathy.

I wouldn't do that trade. For one, Brown hasn't exactly been the picture of health the past 2 seasons. He's had a number of injuries that kept him out for a significant number of games. Walters would be rolling the dice nothing would happen. Two, getting rid of Collaros would probably curse this team. We saw what Hamilton is going thru. Alexander in Montreal looks like he's having hammy issues again. There's no real backup plan with the Als, either. The Riders are one hit away from not repeating as GC champs if Harris goes down. I don't care who is available in a trade & what we might get for Collaros, trading him to Hamilton would be a foolish move. Given Brown's health history. Dolegala is cooked.

Powell didn't have a path to being a starter because the Cats didn't give him any so he left. Powell ended up signing in Edmonton behind Cody Fajardo who is 2-3 years younger than Mitchell. The Cats put everything in BLM being able to deliver a Grey Cup. Well, now that's over.

The coaches & GM in Hamilton aren't responsible for Mitchell's injury but they are responsible for what happened today. They set thie organization up for failure by letting kevin Powell go to free agency. They did a shitty job of roster management as there was no backup qb signed that was as good as Powell. What did they expect wouod happen if Mitchell went down??? Just the total stupidity of the Cats decision makers killed a potential Grey Cup run this season. All the more reason for the posters here to quit calling for Walters to trade Collaros to Hamilton. We are one of the few teams ina position of strength at qb not weakness like the Ti Cats. the fans deserve better in Hamilton. Just total stupidity from Scott Mitchell & Orlondo Steinauer down to Scott Milanovich.

Awe's played for just about every CFL team & is the first free agent released every year so I think we know overall what the league thinks of the guy. Not much. As he's constantly being released he'd be a veteran on the low end of the pay scale as well which explains why he's always the first to be released & then re-signed somewhere else.

A possible serious GC run ifor the Ti Cats now for all intents & purposes is over. Only a few teams have what we have at QB1 & QB2, But for us, we have 4 qbs who contribute. As wbbfan said, the best qb room since the 80;s with the Bombers when they had Clements, Hufnagel & Tom Muecke. It felt good then 40 years ago as a fan & DAMN it still feels good today. Yep. :) For decades, only American assisitant coaches could find work in the CFL. No way, a Canadian would ever be considered for a head coaching position . Canadians as per usual were considered underlings. Slowly over the years more & more Canadians started to make inroads onto CFL coaching rosters. Guys that worked hard just to get where they were. Now for the sake of diversity, qualified Canadian male coaches face another barrier. I have no problem if a woman has the qualifications to coach or ref at the CFL level but most don't. They get the job anyway for diversity sake & it's wrong. If the CFL really cared, they'd get rid of the coaching admin cap to allow the hiring of BOTH promising young men & women coaches that teams could develop. That makes more sense than mandagting some kind of diversity program. Just my take.

Really like the work ethic & motor of Dave Reece. Only the best should be reffing at this level. The number of female refs & coaches shouldn't even be in the equation.

Hey, let's strengthen our RT position but ignore Big Stan who has become a huge liability They let Randolph go to FA when Broxton at LT & Randolph on the right would have strengthened our OL so much at the tackle positions. But nope, this warped sense of loyalty on Osh's part just keeps happening. (SMH). Proves Walters & Osh are human, Not some kind of deities capable of parting the Red Sea that some around here seem to believe they can do.

Dru Brown showed some emotion out there when he threw that TD pass to Tim White. He yelled & pumped his fist so that was great to see as that was a major criticiam that I had of his play with the RedBlacks. Little or no emotion. I think what that lack of emotion was perhaps his heart wasn't in it when he played in Ottawa. He basically took the money & ran. I think he missed playing here & found out early on in Ottawa that being happy isn't all about how much you get paid. Dinwiddie did Brown's career a huge favour.

Two things should have been done for the Bombers. Tell Stan that it's time & then give him a send off like we've never seen before. Sign a free agent LT. as Broxton would have taken Stan's spot. As well as more free agent receivers. We desperately need one more starter & depth.
